I really had forgotten what a slog this season is to get through, more specifically the whole Connor/Cordelia thing. Also not a fan of Fred flip flopping between Gunn and Wes(Also Willow's "I'm seeing someone". Who knows, the way she's been moving maybe she was hitting on Willow). S4 isn't a good look on about half(most of?) the cast. Still there's good stuff that I think gets overshadowed by that. The whole Beast arc and return of Angelus made for some great storytelling, and Lilah had some great moments over the course of the season as well. Getting another look into Angel's past and how he struggled between getting a soul and where we met him in Buffy was interesting to see as well. Kind of a final showdown between the 2 personas. Always great to have a crossover though, but it's a shame Willow only met this bastardized version of Cordelia that came back. Guess the last time she saw her was when she came to tell them Buffy died, which obviously would have been a bad time for everyone. As to Alyson and Alexis, they were not married at this point, but about 6 months after the episode aired. Presumably in a relationship though. They're still together AFAIK, so good for them. I think Faith has long since dealt with "being evil", but I think she needed to see that Angel didn't flip a switch as soon as he got a soul. Redemption is a process, and it never really ends. Looking for an off ramp via some noble sacrifice is taking the easy path. If you're dead you can't do any more good in the world. Neither she nor Angel will balance the scales, but he knows that he owes it to all of Angelus' victims to do as much good and save as many people as he can, and he needs to be alive to do it. Faith learned that too, which is probably why she agreed to go to Sunnydale instead of going back to prison. They could use the reinforcements at any rate. Lastly, Wes came across a tad unhinged(more so than usual) in this one. If there's one line I would have written into this episode, when Wes tells Faith that the only way to beat Angelus is to be as vicious as he is, I really wish Faith had said "been down that path before. We both know that's a really bad idea". At least they got Angel's soul back and the team is sorta kinda reunited. Guess that just leaves this baby situation to focus on

Oh, and to add, it's always fun watching Faith beat up on Connor, everyone loves it when Connor gets his arse beaten, he needs it lol that was a great scene, and of course, a slayer is stronger than him, love that.
