Looking forward to seeing your reactions to these two. Very good episodes! 😬🤓🍿

Ahhh, Conversations with Dead People, can't wait for you to see it, finally the plot proceeds. I'll have to see what your reaction is to it and then discuss it. I'll just say, I hope you recognized we've seen this kind of evil thing before, in a past Buffy episode.

Conversations is such a great, memorable episode. The start of it almost gives me a 007 movie intro vibe. I love how this episode starts off so lighthearted, even comedic. The way Buffy is lying on that one huge tombstone and resting her head on the stone book, it's like she's on a therapist's couch or something. Holden made for a pretty fun character. It's funny how casual Buffy is about it at this point. Like it's easier for her to open up to her enemies, which, I mean it's not like they'll tell anyone once they're dust. Even the way she apologize in Sleeper and said it was her job before killing that one vamp. Aside from Dawn being stonewalled trying to talk to her "mom", it's a pretty calm episode. Then at the end, it turns sinister so quickly with "Joyce" trying to make Dawn feel alone, or get Willow to off herself, and finally finding out Spike has been killing again. While Dawn did pick up some scratches and the house got trashed, it doesn't seem this thing that's supposed to devour them from below can fully manifest physically, just mess with people. Regarding Sleeper, you're right that Spike should never have walked away from what he did, even if he's being manipulated. I mean Buffy kinda made a good point that he's the best source of intel on whatever this thing is, and presumably she's also considering he's one of the strongest fighters available to them and they might need him. Still it also sounded like she was making an excuse not to kill him because she didn't want to, and in a fight, chances are he'd be more of a liability than an asset, as we saw. Maybe they can break whatever hold this thing has on him. Great seeing Giles back, if only briefly.

I love that you are trying to figure it all out, but I must say it is SO HARD for me to hold back, I just want to yell out loud all the answers to you lol, it's frustrating! :p You say you haven't seen the big thread till now, but I'll say as having seen this series so many times, it's there, it's been there, you just didn't know what to hone in on. As I said above, we've actually seen this in the show before. I was debating to tell you which episode, but I am actually not going to do that, just to say, there is an episode in the past that you've seen, where there is something similar to what is happening now. But I will not tell you exactly. So just kind of keep that in mind. I also think the visions of Buffy and others Spike has been seeing all this time starting in the Basement was actually this Evil, it all seems to connect, and does seem to have started with him first.

Conversations w/ Dead People is one of my favorite episodes! So scary (seeing Joyce like that) and funny. And I I love the original song.
