Highly enjoyable reaction video. For clarification purposes, it is strongly implied that yes indeed there was a nexus between Mulder and Roche. He was able to get inside his dreams, hence showing him the location of the victim at the beginning, among other things. So no, that's not Mulder going crazy with that theory. Putting that aside, I'm honestly sorry to say that I will unsubscribe to your channel shortly after making this post. The X-Files is what I signed up for in the first place, and this is not the first time we're getting episodes three weeks (!) apart, including next to zero communication, no updates / heads-up, no schedule, and zero consistency. You have tons of patrons so you'll do well without me, and I'll definitely come back, maybe every six months or so, binge watch your videos, then unsubscribe, come back again later, rinse and repeat. A few months ago I've learned to accept your way of doing things, but at the same time, after you posted your big update video I had thought (and hoped) that there would be improvement, and I've given it time to see what would happen. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any improvement at all, at least as far as The X-Files is concerned. I'm not talking about other shows. Whatever your loyalists may think about me being the bad guy or a jerk for writing this, I really do wish you the best in life, and I've also made a lengthy post under your big update video that you posted a while back where I expressed myself in much greater detail about all these issues. Long story short, no matter what anyone says, I've really supported you for a long time as a Super Whale, and have tolerated lots of stuff where I just said "ah no biggie, it'll get better". But it got worse, and I see no indication what it will get better in the near future. You have my e-mail address, so if you ever manage to get things back to normal - with normal meaning to run your Patreon channel like the vast majority if not all of other big content creators do - especially with the huge number of patrons you have, feel free to contact me and and I'll gladly sign up again. But until then, it's really not worth my money, especially since I follow only one show you have. I'm gonna have to say peace out bro, and no hard feelings. Keep enjoying the show, and I'll come back perhaps end of this year to binge watch your videos. Take care and stay safe. Best wishes.

This episode was actually so good. This may be one of my faves so far. It hit every emotional beat perfectly. I wonder if we will ever truly find out what happened that night…

You're not a big jerk at all. Personally I've accepted the lack of a set schedule, but everyone should decide that for themselves. Expecting things to be different is the problem IMO, both for Fail and us as patreons.

Finally got around to watching this before the latest batch of reactions dropped. At the start of this episode, the first thought I had was the aliens got bored and started making Mulder chase a laser pointer like a cat. Actually turned out to be a great episode, especially Tom Noonan playing the child molester/serial killer. Very unique performance. Hard to say what was actually going on; was Mulder's mind just piecing things together and Roche being resourceful/making lucky guesses, or was there some connection. At any rate, I'm glad they left the question of Samantha unresolved. While knowing one way or the other would give Fox and his mom some closure, it would also mean she's definitively dead and also remove a lot of Mulder's motivation, to say nothing of in some way invalidating the whole reason he's at the FBI and specifically the X Files. Would have been a waste of that plot thread IMO. Also while I appreciate Skinner being over Mulder's BS and calling out Scully for not keeping a closer eye on him, at the same time, he dropped the ball as well. Maybe he never expected him to go that far, but Skinner should have made arrangements to be informed of any such request to take Roche out of prison before any transfer could take place. He knew Mulder was losing objectivity but took no steps to stop him from doing something reckless. Could have ended up much worse.

I was thinking what on earth he was going to tell his mom since they already introduced - and killed - Samantha's adult clone. 😂 I think for her it would be easier not to know at this point rather than being updated on all of Mulder's monumental discoveries.

Yeah that's a wrinkle. Did they ever have any actual confirmation that she was actually a clone of his sister, like DNA or anything? I forget at this point. But yeah, at that point better to let old ghosts rest.
