Can't say this is one of my favourites. It's like the SG1 ep this week in that it uses a fairly common scifi trope, but it lacks any substantial character development. It's mostly just Sheppard being Sheppard, and Rodney being Rodney, which is fine, but unoriginal. Also I don't know why they couldn't just grab the ZPM after the people ascended. The other ascended/ancients wouldn't let them interfere at that point. This episode is also kind of all over the place with the degree of time dilation. Going by the 4:45 of footage after 3 seconds, you get a ratio o about 95 to 1, later Teyla says 250/1, then Rodney says an hour would be months inside, when it would be about 10.5 days, and after that he says Carson's date would be 12 years away for them when if we assume it was 30 hours away at most, they'd still have less than a year(though this case could just be McKay exaggerating for effect). He also said Sheppard could die of old age in 7-10 days, when in fact 10 days would be about 7 years. Also I like how after his "Conan and Xena" quip, even McKay knows he was being an ass. On top of that he even gave Zelenka credit without being prodded to. I take it back, there WAS character development. Rodney's growing as a person.
