It's like you and Sheppard both got arm injuries in the same place! Talk about timing! By injury I mean.. you know, the burning liquid on your sweater, lol, not quite the same, but hope you don't convert into a mug! (but if you do, at least it will be an SGC mug!)

As far as shipping goes I'm here for Elizabeth and Caldwell. He was on a mission in that sweater! Possibly just to get on her good side by flirting, but I was still kinda into it.

Any day I get a Splinter Cell reference is a good day

Totally Unrelated... But when you dipped your sleeve and then said, little did I know.... It reminded me of this scene from one of my favourite films. https://youtu.be/Lmd5KYttp2I

Instinct and Conversion are kind of a 2 parter, but very loosely IMO. Instinct was very much a self contained story about Ellia and her struggles being a wraith, ending with her tragic death from taking an experimental drug. It's not like it ended in the middle of the story. Conversion likewise is also a fairly self contained story about Sheppard losing himself as he turns into one of the bugs he hates so much. The only real link is that he got infected by the same retrovirus via the wound on his arm. Shout out to Joe Flanigan for doing an excellent job of portraying Sheppard going from normal to having this sort of adrenaline high to finally becoming more and more feral. I would have to say one of his better performances in the show. Caldwell I find is playing to his weaknesses here. The guy is at his absolute best commanding Daedalus. Filling in for Sheppard is the responsible thing to do, and leaving a list of recommended changes wouldn't hurt, but in this instance Weir is right. Even if some of the changes are good, making sweeping changes so quickly sends a very poor message about Sheppard's chances. Morale wise it was a bad call. I have to say though, other than that point and acknowledging that sending another team after losing 2 people is a bad call, I strongly disagree with Weir's decisions in this episode. Particularly not letting John go on the mission. So he might compromise the mission, to save his own life? How about the fact he's faster and stronger even before they knew about the pheromone thing? The fact is Sheppard was better equipped to get the eggs, and he's the only person on the base that is definitely going to die if they fail. If he wants to go, it makes all the sense in the world to let him. As it is, 2 people died and for nothing. Even if Sheppard had gone and died on the mission, they were going to lose him anyway. At the very least after the team failed she should have offered him the option since there was nothing to lose at that point. It was like she's too worried about him getting killed on the mission so she won't let him go, but he's going to lose the last of his humanity and need to be put down anyway. It's just backward. Also the whole "you don't want to make me an enemy" was needlessly belligerent. I've said it before, Weir is supposed to be the civilian leadership as opposed to the rigid military leadership on SG1, yet Hammond often seemed more diplomatic than she does. Lastly, one thing that really bugs me in this episode is that Atlantis has a bunch of those cryo chambers. Maybe they don't know how to operate them, but at least they should have put Rodney on it. If they can get him in one of those, it'll halt the progress of the retrovirus and give them a lot more time to come up with a solution, which was the whole problem. They wouldn't have needed the eggs at all.

An ok episode, and while related to the last episode, not much really happened, one of our team gets infected, and they find the cure, in one episode. Kind of a filler episode for me.

So...how long before the next episode is unlocked...is the next tier a month or more ahead?
