Such a great double bubble reaction, some really great moments. And omg I hope your keyboard is ok haha. I know these Merlin ones don’t get the biggest engagement for you, but I and the rest of us I’m sure, really do appreciate them a whole lot. It always puts a smile on my face when I get the notification for a new upload. Here’s to a great season 5, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Amen amen! Absolutely love that you've been watching Merlin with us, Fail - s'was almost equal to Doctor Who for me when I was growing up, and it's really charming getting to see the show revisited from your perspective!

I’ve been one of the silent lurkers lol but just wanted to say I totally agree, I always get a big smile when I see another Merlin reaction pop up! I fell back down the rabbit hole a couple months ago and it’s been nice rewatching along here. That recurrent theme of either extending or denying trust (and then dealing with the fallout of either trusting too much or not allowing oneself to trust) is something I’ve noticed has reoccured over the seasons, could be a good lens to look at the series so far. Anyway, looking forward to season 5!

What a absolute banger of a finale. I mean a great big siege is a hell of a way to end a season off. Also I just realized why Morgana and Agravaine waited so long to attack. I think Agravaine was ready to go, but Morgana wasn't satisfied with his smirk game until this point. She's been coaching him to get him ready for that moment he started those fires. I honestly wasn't expecting the range this episode covered with finding time for like 1/2 of the first part to be devoted to comedy with the "dumb Arthur" routine. Overall though Arthur goes through a fantastic journey of realization of who he is and what he has to do in this episode, and Merlin all throughout proves he's truly the best friend he could ask for. We even got some borderline Game of Thrones quality "dragon burning an army" action. Also I honestly didn't expect the rift between Arthur and Gwen to be resolved so quickly, but ALSO for them to get married when there was like 5 minutes of episode left, but I'm not complaining. And of course, Arthur finally got his hands on Excalibur, proving he's the true king of Camelot. I will say, I'm surprised nobody(important) died apart from Agravaine the Aggravating. I mean it really felt like they were lining up Gaius to die, or perhaps Gwaine or Elyan. In fact a few shots made me feel like they were gonna have Leon get killed, which frankly I'd have been pissed about. I guess Isolde did die, and that was relatively sad, but also we only just met those 2, even if they were likeable. Overall, hell of a season finale. And there were a couple emote worthy points in the reaction at least. First the whole water pouring fiasco, and then that double take after saying Morgana instead of Gwen🤣.

Absolutely loved this two parter finale. Got me shouting and cheering at the screen a fair bit and all in a good way. The best the show has been for me. I still feel that 1-3 could have been just one series, maybe two of shorter lengths. But very glad we got to this higher standard eventually and I didn't quit, as I've wanted to do a number of times. Hoping for a final series that continues to bring it home.
