Wow, thanks for the reaction, and the double bubble. First to episode 15, just watched your reaction. This one is always powerful because of the ending here, Angel has just lost all hope now, The Home Office, is, well, Earth, Humanity, "Hell on Earth" as the saying goes. Very powerful. Now he's just lost it and wants to feel something, and does the deed with Darla, that can't be good. I guess he went all the way. Also the fact that he just right out IGNORED Kate when she was hurting teh most, and needed him, he NOPED OUT. That's gonna be a problem. And Cordy is on her way to danger, and NO ONE knows it, and Wesley had a Break Up and is depressed and questioning if he wants to even do this demon hunting anymore :o Everyone is BROKEN at the end of episode 15. Yikes. Ok, going to watch episode 16 now and will leave my comment after watching.

Just finished your reaction to episode 16, thank you for the reaction. You get it, you truly get it, awesome. Yeah, this is a powerful episode. He really did have an epiphany. I love the line that all that matters is what we do, helping, easing pain, helping others, what we do in the now is what matters and how we deal with that. If you missed it, Kate did not invite Angel when he burst in her apartment to help her. So the powers definitely let that one slide so he could. And as for how he was able to get in the house with the demons, he was able to bust through that house because the demons had killed the family, so if the owners of a house are dead, he can enter. Lindsey is a broken man. I do wonder if Darla will show up again, Angel let her go, and so she could show up in the future. But I love the new path Angel is on, the ending is so epic with him wanting to work for them because he can help, that's the humble approach that needed to happen.

This whole arc is just... fab. Starting with The Trial, and finishing up here... it's all perfect imo. "If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do" One of my phrases to live by. Season 1 was fun, but this was deep, and introspective. The show is so much better than it was a season ago.

Did the Powers let Angel into Kate's? Or was Kate already dead, and he was able to revive her? Either way... she should not have made it out of there alive, but someone was on her side.

"From new Watcher in Buffy, to this." Oh, my sweet summer child.

Honestly, Wesley's arc is one of my favorite things about the Buffyverse. From where he started as a pretentious and untalented Watcher to where he ends up, oh boy. So much good stuff ahead.

Wes "One more thing" Gunn "What's that?" Wes "I'm toppling over" LOL, probably the best thing to come out of this whole "dark Angel" arc is the bromance between Wesley and Gunn. These past few eps would be even more depressing without it. Great to see Angel FINALLY humble himself and realize his mistakes. I guess this clarifies that he doesn't need to remain celibate per se, as long as it's not with someone he actually cares for, at least to the extent he did for Buffy. Hilarious how the Host had to sit him down and have the "post nut clarity" talk. And once again David Boreanaz showcases how damned good he is at playing awkward. By the end there though, I love his realization that the best way for the others to keep him morally grounded is for them to be in charge. Lindsey was being a tad pathetic this episode. I mean unless I'm forgetting he hasn't even gotten freaky with Darla and he's THAT jealous? Kinda reminded me of that CollegeHumor skit where Batman can't stop thinking about sex. Lindsey "you're gonna tell me everything you did with her" Angel "we...we totally had sex" Lindsey "I gathered that" Angel "No like, hardcore.....three times. Now, you have my permission to cry" Yeah it might have been a dick move smashing his hand, but like he said he could have smashed the real one. The "thanks" note was rubbing it in though. Regarding Lindsey driving a shitty old truck on presumably a very good salary, remember his sob story about growing up in poverty? I'm betting he keeps the old truck as a reminder of where he came from, and where he refuses to go back to. Excellent conclusion to a riveting arc. Onward to the finale.

I don't watch Angel but does that mean 2 buffys next week? Because I'm down for it.

"If there is no great glorious end to all this, if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. 'Cause that's all there is - what we do, now, today." Not only one of my favorite Buffyverse quotes ever, but favorite quotes, period. So profound.

SpikesEcho

My autistic brain hates this quote lol. It's worded in a way to be poetic, but it literally makes zero sense. You can't say nothing matters in the first half of the sentence, then cite something that matters in the second half.....If nothing we do matters, then NOTHING we do matters lol
