The only episode I've only seen, like, once or twice. Every other episode I can practically quote but this one... oof. I guess it's nice to have an easy answer with "least favorite episodes" ;)

One Who Walks Behind

I will never, ever, get tired of Thor's putdown to the senator. Just that little finger raise 'Supreme Commander'. I grin every time. Also it's interesting to have the clipshow at this episode, with so many left in the season.

"Supreme Commander" STILL gives me chills to this day.

Flufux

"The government of China does not believe in keeping secrets from its people." ...honestly, I can never take that line seriously.

The Thor smackdown at the end makes this one of my favorite clip episodes of any show - bonus amusement value for it meaning that this episode had new work by Michael Shanks but none of the current SG-1 team. First time watching it in ages, and first time I noticed / appreciated just how much the clip selection seemed guided by "okay, what shots did we spend a lot of money on - let's get more bang for our buck out of them." (Which makes sense.)

Up there with Hammond's line in 1x15. "Colonel, the United States is not in the business of interfering in other people's affairs." Makes me wish Jack was there to hit them with his "Since when?" line.

I love these recall episodes! Especially when you are watching the show for the first and it just recaps things you might have forgotten! Can not wait for your reactions for the end of season 6! 5-7 are my favourite seasons! ☺️

SUPREME COMMANDER TO YOU SIR lmfao

accelangel

god we're almost in season 7 shit, we're flying through

Ba'alWhale34

Can't believe that was thought up on the day and not in the script ( as per the DVD commentary)

ugh clip show episodes, but gotta save budget for the season finale i guess ;)

Timothy Nikiforovs

it's not THAT bad. Actually an important episode. Actually stargate in general does a good job making clip shows have a purpose. The TNG S2 finale on the other hand......

I’ve always enjoyed this episode. Mainly because it makes it feel like the stargate program is changing from a US project into a global one, which has big implications throughout the rest of the show’s universe.

👽 ☝🏻"Supreme Commander!"

Ahahaha, not only is the guy who played Mao in this one, but the French ambassador pulled a Miller and pronounced Anubis as Ann-you-bis. Love it. Clip shows tend to be unpopular, no doubt, but generally I feel SG1 actually puts some effort into making them matter to the overall story. Obviously this was all to save money, but there was still effort put into progressing the story. This is also 1 of I think just 2 episodes where Hammond had the majority of the screen time(all of it as far as mains are concerned). So now all the permanent members of the UN security council know about the stargate, and the Prometheus is being given asgard upgrades. Both these things are huge developments. Not a bunch to say on this one. Hammond makes a great argument that the allies Earth has made is one of the biggest accomplishments of the SGC. Thor's cameo is timeless as well, and it's always a pleasure to see Kinsey taken down a peg. Also I love that the Russians remained supportive of the SGC. Col. Chekov really has become an ally to the stargate program.

Yeah, clipshows are not usually the most interesting episodes in a show, but I rather like the ones in stargate. It would be hard to have a regular sg1 episode to cover the more political aspects of the sg universe, without being a bit of a waste of the main characters and in this episode we get some nice background development for the show going forward. Ie. more countries are informed about the SG programme and technology upgrades to Prometheus/Earth. EDIT and PS: A little shout out to the Kinsey actor, that guy plays the unlikeable sleazy politician to a T.

Ronny Cox (Kinsey) is said to be a very personable fellow in real life.

Not to be a downer but where is the next episode?

Nev

He will upload it eventually, always does.. so dont worry to much :D But yes i really wanna see more SG ^^'

Brent Justice

It may be a clip episode, but Stargate does them well cause it's more than just clips, actual plot is being driven forward, and there is actual new content, therefore, a very good clip show that has meaning. So the Asgard are giving the 303 Asgard shields and weapons :o While these governments know of the Stargate program, it's still hidden from the general public.

Timothy Nikiforovs

But for how long? After all, the government of China does not believe in keeping secrets from it's citizens😂🤣.

MrEvers

perfect timing, my dinner's just arrived ^^
