YOOOO let's go! Excited for this one, and excited for one less show on your plate for the time being! Hope it brings you more peace and rest in your schedule

Chris

I always get emotional watching this finale - had such a great journey with these characters and seen them grow so much - literally, look how much more young adult Aang looks compared to the child who came out of the ice. It’s fun to go back and watch the 1st two episodes again - they hit so different knowing what you know now.

I'd never seen this series until you started reacting to it, and I have ti say I am thoroughly impressed with the writing and the characters. The latter half of this season in particular tied together so many threads from the entire show. Not many series have that level of commitment to their canon. I also feel like Zuko and Iroh's journey somewhat stole the show, though of course Aang still had an amazing transformation over the series. Not just in terms of bending abilities, but also maturing a lot from the boy who ran away to a young man who defied all the previous avatars to show mercy to a tyrant. As impressive as the fight with Ozai was, that was the most impactful moment for Aang. Sokka also had a really gratifying journey. He was next to useless at the start, but he matured into a real leader over the course of the show. I'm glad that he and Suki and Piandao were shown to make a real difference in the final battle despite not being benders. Also me head canon is that he absolutely found his sword after the battle. Regarding Katara not using bloodbending on Azula, I think it actually made the scene more powerful. First because she doesn't have to resort to a darker form of water bending, which makes Azula seem even weaker, especially since she's the one with the power boost. Second it makes water bending feel like a more powerful form since regular water bending can overpower an amped up top tier fire bender. I actually kind of feel sorry for Azula. She's just completely broken at this point and probably has been for years. The moment she attacked Katara I would think she disqualified herself for breaking the rules of the challenge. But the way she was banishing everyone, completely alone and unable to trust anyone, losing her mind. I wouldn't hold my breath on it, but maybe Zuko and Iroh find a way to reach her and turn her life around. Ultimately she's the way she is because Ozai made her that way. Like Zuko said, his banishment was the best thing that could happen to him, and she didn't have the benefit of time to think or a real father figure like Iroh. And that's just the tip of the iceberg with characters and storylines. I could go on about all the other characters various journeys but I don't have that much time. Will Aang try to train new air benders? What are Toph and Sokka going to do after the war? How is Zuko's plan to undo the damage done by the fire nation going to go? In summary of the series I guess the only thing to say is... 100 years ago the fire nation attacked. Then, everything changed when Avatar Aang returned.

No blood bending outside of a full moon since it’s a water bending technique and water benders are at their strongest during a full moon.

The loose threads were to be tied up in a movie but plans changed and we got M Knight Shamalanadingdong’s “The Last Airbender” instead. What a price to pay.

The story is continued in the official comics by dark horse if you’re interested in learning the fate of Zuko’s mother.

I believe that they're working on a new animated series following Aang's story further.

Sad your Atla journey coming to an end

William Sevier

One of the single greatest cinema choices. The battles. Ozai and Aang get a dramatic tribal drumbeat. And Zuko and Azula get a very sad slow song. I love that their fight is not an epic thing. It's sad.

It's been a great experience rewatching the show with you. I even teared up a little a couple of times at the end. What a journey it's been!

I usually don't comment but this reaction was absolute fire. It'd be dope if you carried on with the Avatar universe by watching Legend of Korra. The last two seasons of that show are dope af

Hope you get around to Korra someday but you definitely deserve a break man!

I just caught up on your reacts to these and think they're great! Zuko and Iroh are also my favorite characters but I think they did a great job with Aang's story (better than most hero's-journey type stories for sure) and even did good work all the way down to the minor characters. Thank you for doing the whole show. As others have mentioned, Legend of Korra is good, but for me it was a bit like Doctor Who. I had to wait a while before I could watch it, same way I always have to wait a bit between Doctors.

Seltro1

I'm sure you've been asked this loads already but do you have any plans to watch Legend of Korra after this?

Crow

Please react to Korra

Waterbenders can only bloodbend during a full moon, so Katara couldn't bloodbend in the final fight! although she is morally opposed to it as well. Great reaction!
