Fun Fact: Ming (the female prison guard) was actually voiced by Serena Williams who was a big fan of the show when it was airing.

Love it - such an epic few episodes. Sokka has come so far from protecting his tribe with a group of small children as his troops. I love how the show has been subtly aging up the characters - Aang looks so grown up compared to the boy that came out of the ice.

Those were some massive episodes, but I'm looking forward to what's coming even more. Zuko finally has his head on straight.

Thank you for doing these all together. :) Sokka and Zuko definitely stole the show with the invasion. I also wish they'd showed Iroh busting out, but I guess they wanted it to be sort of a surprise when Zuko ran out and discovered him gone (although they kinda gave it away a little early tbh with Iroh talking to Ming). I think the first time I heard Zuko give that speech to his dad, I actually teared up a little. I liked your reference to LOTRs. I know it's a fairly common story structure, but this is another one that sort of reminds me of it, with one group acting as a distraction to draw out the enemy forces while a smaller party sneaks in and tries to backdoor to win the day. Unfortunately, they lost here, but I still think this is a pretty good two-parter, tying together some loose threads from the earlier seasons and making the overall story more cohesive. Great reaction!

Gotta say for as long as this invasion and eclipse has been hyped, they essentially accomplished nothing. Definitely thought this would have a bigger outcome. As you say though, the character development is what steals the show. Zuko especially has FINALLY seen the light. Can't wait for the reunion with Iroh. No doubt those 2 will become Aang's firebending teachers. Also sleep deprived Aang losing his shit was hilarious. I also didn't realize how OP Sokka's sword was going to be. That thing seems like it has lightsaber levels of cutting power. Even without bending, it moved Sokka a few ranks up the power scale.
