I just love your love for this show. It makes me so happy to see people continually finding and enjoying this show that means so much to me. In re-watching this ep, it's so much easier to see that it's still a training exercise, but I remember being fooled the first time I saw it. Great reaction!

There are unfinished Stargate computer games I believe, and I own a Stargate board game, as well as a homemade Stargate Jeopardy on CD I received as a parting gift from playing the game at a convention in 2007 and 2008. I would totally play Life or Risk in a Stargate version if it existed, but would love a decent RPG to be developed and finished.

I understand that there's still a Stargate RPG computer game still under development.

*Have fun Daniel* literally one of my top SG moments, Jack and Daniel have the best relationship, only true brothers take enjoyment out of the amusing suffering of the other, heart warming and hilarious

Always an enjoyable episode. There are so many fakeouts you keep expecting one of them to be real, like all the previous ones were just to make you drop your guard, but it never happens. Good to see Hailey back as well. This episode addresses the long term questions of the stargate program as well. Obviously the SGC teams are composed of veterans of various ages and levels of experience, but taking O'Neill for example he's over 50 at this point. He and some of the other officers realistically aren't going to be running around on alien worlds for too much longer in the grand scheme. Realistically they'll want younger people in their primes with lots of years of service ahead, and also who are specifically trained for that type of work. Still, Elliot REALLY did overthink things. At the start he should have split his team and just had 2 each covering Carter and Daniel until they disarmed. Also, very touching that Satterfield went back to pull Danny boy away from the explosion, but the lot of them were just like "fuck Teal'c". The guy was right next to the table for cryin out loud. Still, the guy proved himself at the end there, so good on him. Also I love that "hellieuuu" that Daniel keeps doing, as well as how he blew on his intar after shooting them all. Clearly he enjoys messing with the recruits, and making himself at home in Hammond's office.

This is a neat episode, I like it cause it takes place off the base and shows real-world things, yet dealing with the Stargate. BTW, we can see the integration of alien technology in the SGC here, they are using Intars to train with, so that is very cool to see. I wish they would note or show though if the technology is being studied to replicate. Imagine Intars as replacement stun weapons for police offers, Intars seem like an amazing thing that would help the real world. I mean I don't see why they couldn't even use the Intars as stun weapons for off-world at the SGC, I know they have Zats, but if they could replicate and make more Intars it would be a great stun weapon for them.

I love this episode, it’s fun and engaging and helps flesh out parts of the program that we knew had to be happening in the background but never got to see before. At the end of the episode Hammond says that the other trainees would be assigned posts as they become available. That made me think ‘as people get killed’. I wonder when that other General was read in on the program, because in Prodigy he still didn't know what it was Sam did. Him being read in would indicate this SGC training program is either relatively new or that something about it wasn't working which required the Academy General guy to know about it. Either way it was nice to see that character again, I love it when they connect things together like that.
