Well, they can't gate to Earth cause the point of origin would be the same and sharing the same address. It's like what happened when they were stuck in Antarctica, they can't dial the other Stargate cause it shares the same address.

I think a lot of older shows did the finale cliff hanger to hook people into the next season. Which really sucks when they get canceled and the fans are left with no resolution. There was an show called Prey from 98 that ended like that and one of the actors was cast as The Invisible man and they did a little easter egg thing to kinda make people have some kind of resolution to Prey, a throw away scene for most people. The invisible man was a fun show but sci-fi refusal to rerun the 1st season and trying to mix things up in the 2nd season, combined with not airing several episodes that had exploding buildings due to 9/11 pretty much killed the show

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for picking up this amazing show. I grew up watching SG1 and its spin-offs and the franchise is one of a kind. You're in for a real treat as you progress and the world building/mythology is expanded upon.

A parallel universe episode which ties into the season arc followed by a clip show which raises the stakes followed by a cliff-hanger finale with SG-1 disobeying orders to save planet Earth from Apophis or die in the attempt…. Okay, this was also one of my favorite episodes. When this aired live on tv, I was so upset that they made this to be continued! It was awful having to wait for the next season to see what happened. Now, it's a blast because we can just binge watch to the next episode if we wanted to. Stargate does great to be continued episodes, but the first is always the best! I loved every minute of this episode and the team interactions were awesome! So was the action and the music really set the tone for the episode as well. I just love Genera; Hammond! He really is a great leader. I can't wait for you to start season 2! That was my favorite season out of all of them!

What is there to say, SG1 finished STRONG it's first season. Excellent finale and you're gonna love the conclusion. We also see a cool new weapon for the first time, but dont expect the 3 shot disintegrate to show up too often, as Michael Shanks hated the zats as did many other people, particularly the 3 shot disintegrate business. Also fun little easter egg, when Jack asks if the comm sphere gets showtime it's a little 4th wall break to the fact the show originally aired on showtime

And on Showtime the pilot had nudity :o Which gave the show a whole different feeling, made it feel very mature IMO

funny enough SG1 also steered away from profanity as well, and when I was a kid I thought Sam calling J**** a chickenshit in season 6 was the only use of shit on the show, completely forgetting "bullshit" in this one.

Yeah once it moved from Showtime, it moved away from gritty and the profanity lowered. They tried to do gritty and dark with SGU but I didn't really like their approach. SGU was an alright scifi show but I couldn't get into it mostly because of the actors. Something just didn't click for me.

yeah they tried to get on that BSG bandwagon. Now I loved BSG, but Stargate is supposed to be it's own thing.

Okay I've watched Stargate a lot, like a whole hell of a lot. And I've rewatched this reaction video a few times now. Never before have I seen that the Jaffa in the death glider at 38:01 is 'raising the roof'. Please tell me that he's doing something else I'm missing!
