Were you watching the video horizontally flipped? It looked like it was a "mirror" version for some reason. Maybe the source wasn't so good?

Such a great classic episode! Man was it weird to watch it flipped. I don't know if you have access to it and maybe the licensing is different in Canada, but the non-HD version of Buffy is available on Hulu if that's helpful. Also, yes, John is Spike and Spike is John thought the actor (James Marsters) is actually an American actor. I think people have already mentioned that there are Dr. Who/ Buffy connections. And if you've ever seen the original Die Hard this episode is a homage to that, thus the title School Hard (took me about 20 years to figure that out since I hadn't seen the movie).

So love this episode. Tension was good. The characters of spike and his princess were played fantastically. I appreciate The moment between Angel and Xander at the end where you realize Angel might have been willing to let Xander get bit to make that rouse work. Can't wait for you to keep going with the show!!

Spike! 🙂 The less ritual, more fun line was Joss's mission statement for the series, one of the reasons The Master was disposed of so quickly. Shame such a good episode was flipped, really can't watch it when they're like that. No audio from the episode for me on Dropbox or Google.

I got him this video, it hasn't been easy finding a good source and it was either this one, a video that couldn't be paused, or the HD remaster. As Fail said in his last video, it'd be awesome if someone could find another source because good quality vids for the early season 2 eps are a struggle atm.

When you started Torchwood and Buffy at the same time, I started realizing the you were going to see Spike/Captain John around the same time. Ha! Love it.

When I re-watch Buffy, this is usually the one that I start with. It's where the show really takes off. Love Spike and Dru and it's nice to finally see Angel get a little bit of personality. That is, indeed, John from Torchwood. Fun fact though; James Marsters is American. Anthony Stewart Head (Giles) helped him with his English accent.

Yay - Buffy finally found it's feet as a show (after a few weird side steps in the 1st season) I love how wonderfully bat shit crazy Dru is, and even though her and Spike are so evil - they still have so much love for each other.
