I'm currently working on the Arcane History article and hope to have that finished in a few days. But in the meantime, we've got more names to work through. Our Marshal is Rolan Harn, though people often just call him "Marshal." The Flame is Tari, though the MARSHAL generally calls them "Kid." And our Worg is Ja'taarka, the Bright Wolf; given that he's a Gloomstalker, there's probably an interesting story behind it!

Today's cast of characters is brought to you by the letter S! Let's look at the Scholar, the Stonespeaker, and the Smith

The Scholar and the Stonespeaker are special cases, because they are professionals who definitely aren't hiding their family names. However, the question is whether they USE their actual names in casual conversation. Both of them have three NAME choices, and I'll use the highest of those as their actual name. But there's also a fourth nickname option; if that comes close in number of votes to their actual name, they'll use that as their casual name.

So, the Scholar is a Mror dwarf from Clan Narathun. The possible nickname of "Ink" has a few aspects. The first is that as a scholar, he's always taking notes and often has ink on his fingers; the second is that he's a Ruinbound dwarf, and one manifestation of this is what appear to be animated tattoos on his skin.

The Stonespeaker is a Zil gnome from House Sivis. The first question is what Sivis family she's from. The local kobolds call her "Sora" is the Goblin word for "Grandmother", and she IS a grandmother; has she adopted this in everyday use, or is it just something between her and the kobolds? And yes, this means she could be Sora Sahra Syrralan d'Sivis; the Zil love alliteration.

Finally, the Smith's name will tell us a little more about her past. Was she part of a prosperous Cyran family or did she live a rougher life? Or does she prefer to reveal nothing about her path, just going by "Smith"?

This will run for 24 hours. Thanks for taking part!
