Welcome to November! The main article for this month will be on Arcane Science and Industry. But for now, it's time for questions. As always:

  • With IFAQs I need questions I can answer in one to two paragraphs. So you need a clear, concise topic with a specific answer, not something abstract or broad.
  • I'm more likely to answer questions that will interest a wide audience or that could come up in many campaigns, as opposed to  super-specific questions whose answers most people will never use.
  • I will NOT have time to answer all questions, but feel free to repost a question next moth if it doesn't make it this month!

An important thing I need to call out is a change to how I respond to follow-up questions. The goal of IFAQS is that they are short articles, which allows me to write more of them; I have a finite amount of time. However, if an IFAQ generates 35 distinct follow-up questions (and the last one did) and I address them all, it's not a short article any more. With a Dragonmark I want to cover a topic in as much depth as possible, but again, the point of an IFAQ is to address a topic in one or two paragraphs, and that means I can't answer twelve additional questions on that topic. I don't mind people ASKING those questions, and I enjoy it when those questions lead to discussions between readers. I just want people to understand that with IFAQs specifically, I will not be able to address every follow up question.

Because I don't want to spam Threshold followers with ANOTHER email, I just wanted to throw in the results of the Smith's poll. They're a triple beast: A beasthide shifter Path of the Beast barbarian whose faith is tied to the Beast Within. They're a folk hero who strives to stand up for the Cyran refugees in Threshold. And on consideration, they both have a prosthetic leg fashioned by the Tinker, AND can't remember anything about 992 YK... which might be related to the unusual gifts they possess through the Path of the Beast. I'm attaching a sketch of the Smith from Julio Azevedo!

Thanks again for your support!

What might some cults of Masvirk/Rhashaak be doing in Ha'katorvahk and the surrounding Q'Barran jungles that might be aiding Masvirik's rise, if that is the macro-endgame of this particular campaign? I'm thinking specifically like, rituals or tactics they might be using (in addition to what's mentioned in Dungeon 182/185 with attacking mining camps and stealing Khyber shards), and what Masvirik's influence might look like regionally if his bonds were being weakened. Do you have any thoughts regarding Prophecy threads or anchors that might relate to Masvirik's rise/the prevention thereof?

Is Eberron round or flat or something third? It seems to be implied in the books that it's round (Eberron wrapping herself around Khyber, there being a pole) but nothing definite. Do the different civilizations (Galifaran, Riedran, Giant, Dragon, Undying Court) have different cosmological visions in that regard?
