Hello everyone, especially those of you who've just joined as supporters!

My goal with the Threshold tier is to add a new way to interact with patrons. We're going to work together to create a compelling cast of characters and an interesting location that will serve as the foundation for an online campaign. That campaign will have a rotating cast of players, giving me the opportunity to interact with you directly.

However, since yesterday I have learned that Patreon cannot allow any benefit that involves random chance. So I cannot randomly select players from this tier. However, I CAN choose players based on a non-random method, such as a creative challenge. So with this in mind...

  • For each session, I will post the date and time in advance. These will vary from session to session to be accessible to people in different time zones.
  • I'll pose a creative challenge. These will vary with each session. One could be artistic. Another could involve creating an Eberron Haiku, or naming an NPC in Threshold. The winners of this challenge will play in the session.
  • Once you've played in a session, you'll be ineligible to play for the next four sessions.

I apologize for the change, but the restriction tied to gambling laws. So it will still be a rotating cast of players, but it will not be entirely random.

Having said that: part of the point of the Threshold tier was to add a new way to engage with supporters. To help with that, I'd adding adding a Threshold Discord channel to the Eberron Discord server (which is a fantastic place to discuss all things Eberron, if you're not already on it). This channel will be a place to discuss both the Threshold campaign and the content on my website. I'll drop in whenever I post new articles, and I'll schedule at least one AMA session each month -- again, varying times to accommodate people in different time zones. If you don't know how to link your Patreon account to Discord, here's a link: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266

As I said at the start, this is an experiment, and this is the first change! Thanks to all of you who join me for the journey.

Where could one find the link to the Eberron discord?

The link at the end of the article should have all the information you need; once you've linked your Patreon and Discord accounts you should automatically see the server when you log into Discord.
