As I'm working on the Nobility of Khorvaire article, I had some thoughts about things I won't be including and why... which evolved into this post about my general philosophy when it come to creating history.

I expect to post Nobility of Khorvaire next week, after an IFAQ that addresses some of the simpler questions posed in the last call for questions.

Thanks to everyone who's offered suggestions about how to add value to the Patreon. I am going to have a follow up poll that explores some of these ideas soon. In the short term, I am going to post the full Nobility article on the website, but I'm going to have a special bonus feature here for the Inner Circle.

Thanks for your support!

My new book Exploring Eberron is available now on the DM's Guild. You can find a FAQ about it here . I am currently working on a long article about the Nobility of Khorvaire.

How long is this nobles article getting? As long as the Riedra post from last month?

Looks like it might be! I am interested to see what inspiration I'll get from it because that Riedra post was a game-changer (and that's speaking as an already reading everything about Sarlona fan)!

I'm sure this isn't the exact correct place to put this, but I really don't know where is: I have two lightning round ish questions I'd love to throw in the ring if you have time/interest in doing a Lightning Round post: 1) Are the names of Cyre/Crya accidental? Obviously it's our Eberron and if it's convenient for our story they are not, but I'm curious about whether this was an intentional design (similar in style if not magnitude to leaving 13 - 1 around everywhere.) 2) [Trying to be vague to avoid spoilers] When you were writing The City of Towers, did you already have plans for Lakashtai as realized at the end of The Shattered Land?

I put out a call for questions at the start of each month - this one is called "Question Time." But no worries, and since these are super short I'll answer them right here. 1) There's no canon connection between the two. Crya vanished tens of thousands of years before human civilization rose. Cyre is based on the name of Galifar's daughter; it's possible that the NAME is traced back to the moon, but it's a nebulous connection. But if you want to do something with it in your campaign, go ahead! 2) Yes, the basic plot of the trilogy was planned out from the start, though there were details that changed along the way (for example, in the original story draft, the warforged plotline in The Shattered Land involved the Lord of Blades as opposed to Harmattan). So yes, Lakashtai's role was planned out from the beginning.
