Hello All!

IF JOEL DIES I RIOT! This episode was really good imo, it may not have been packed with action but the relationships were really fleshed out & new possibilities explored. Joel reuniting with Tommy was great & seeing this new group & the things they built there were awesome too. The ending was a little dramatic & my stomach sank! Seeing Ellie crying over Joel's stabbed body, I coulda done without haha. Greta acting yet again.

Hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

I'll echo Danny (Icarus) by saying I too hope you're feeling better. Wow! Elaine Miles! I loved her in the TV series "Northern Exposure" and the movie "Smoke Signals". Great seeing her in this episode. Graham Greene too! Just rewatched "The Green Mile" recently. I thought of FTWD during the dam scene too. Very memorable. I wish Fear had been as good as TWD, but nope. Garret Dillahunt was the best thing in the series and his relationship with Jenna Elfman was the second best (imo, obviously). I think Ellie's reaction to the reunited Joel and Tommy was because she never had that sibling bond. It made me sad, because neither did I. I always wanted a sister. It's ironic, because we were blessed with a boy, but never had a girl. I hate political stuff and the Communism thing was a weird, unnecessary addition. The Joel and Tommy scene goes back to what I said about a sibling bond. Joel wouldn't have been so fragile and emotional with anybody else, even Tess. Really great stuff. My eyes were watering up during that scene with Joel and Ellie, and then I laughed because I noticed both Dak and I were clutching a tissue. Sometimes I feel like an old man. I loved Ellie resting her head on Joel's back while riding the horse. Warmed my heart. I appreciate the trigger discipline. That stab wound triggered the nerve pain in my left leg and that cliffhanger pissed me off a tiny bit. I mean, we know Joel doesn't die here, but it's heart fluttering. Overall, I really enjoyed this episode, and I completely agree with you, Dak. I said this in an earlier episode comment, but I love the slower, non-action episodes. We become invested in these people and they become our friends and compatriots. The emotions are real, and our feeling the need to run to them and help is palpable.

This was filmed in Canmore! It's about a 20 minute drive from the equally gorgeous Banff! The whole series was shot in Alberta mostly. Edmonton (where I'm from), Calgary and around Canmore/Banff area. I've walked that bridge Joel and Ellie walked over dozens of times haha!
