Heya all! Vilsa here with another Devel- I mean uh... an Anduo Update! I figured a name change and a little design spruce up was in order. Now let's get to the news!

Thao

Here's a little update on some of the CG sketches that Thao has been cleaning up for Rosas are Red!

Rated

No eye-candy to show here, but we've worked out things with rated so she'll be able to give us another couple days of sweet sweet CG drawing later on this month. She should be able to finish the sketches that were shown previously with the groping and the pussying in that time.

Scapefiend

We've got some more awesome environment art from Scapefiend for the new area in 0.11.0! I wonder what sorta things could possibly be lurking here? ;)

Easter

You didn't think we'd miss out on the opportunity to squeeze Jenna into a sexy bunny outfit, did you? Enjoy the egg hunt when Easter rolls around on April 21st.

Bugfixing

So the bulk of our work this month so far has been trying to catch up on much needed optimizations and bugfixes. We've held off on releasing any bugfixes in favor of getting them all together in one big optimzation / bugfix patch. We're currently doing playtesting to make sure our fixes haven't busted anything and the game still runs smoothly.

Playability tests on older Android devices have been really promising. Devices that used to crash from out-of-memory problems on startup are now running the game perfectly fine due to our huge optimizations on memory usage. Now the game should use 600MB at most with an image-heavy dialogue playing, and around 160MB when not in a dialogue (as opposed to the 1.6GB it was hovering around at any time before).

We've fixed most if not all of the softlocks that have been reported to us, and we've also fixed up some other issues that we found. We'll have a changelog that'll detail the fixes.

We're hoping to get out the update within the next few days if playtests are good. It'll take the form of 0.9.2 for the public release and 0.10.1 for the patrons. 0.9.2 will just be 0.10.1, but with the extra content disabled. That way we don't have to juggle two different branches of the codebase and levels, which caused a couple errors in 0.9.1 when we released it.

Unfortunately this sets us a little behind on 0.11.0 development, but it was something that had to be done with how unstable things were when it came to memory problems and softlocks.

Meeting

We had another streamed meeting on Picarto last weekend! We went over stuff we wanna do for 0.11.0, and the state of development at that time.

Here's a link to the summary of that meeting.

That's all for this week! We'll see you all next Wednesday for another Anduo Update!
