Hi all!

After yesterday's doom and gloom, here is some good news!

Cover Art: I am officially in talks with a cover artist. Right now, I am waiting on their ideas (rough sketches) to see what they envision. This is an experienced company who has made a shit-ton (that is a scientific measurement) of book covers for all genres, so they are very experienced. Apparently my book description has somehow created its own genre (paranormal erotic fantasy maybe?), and they are excited to take a stab at it.

Release Date: So I am nearly 1/3 of the way through my edits. I am currently planning to release HFHM to the world in the month of October.

Why October? I won't be finished with editing (or the other stuff) until the end of this month. After some online research, I discovered that September is considered the absolute worst month for book releases, so will be dodging that bullet. And October means Halloween, which pairs well with Horny monsters.

I will be setting up preorders on e-retailers, and will be mobilizing Annabelle's Army (you fine folks) prior to release. I created a mailing list through Mailchimp, so will be starting a blast to get Lit readers who signed up excited. For those of you who see me on Twitter, I will be doing the same there.

Once I have a date locked down, I will let you know. The idea will be to have Annabelle's Army dropping reviews once the book drops. I want Home for Horny Monsters to be trending by Halloween (that's the dream, anyway).

As for my Patrons, right around the same day of release, we will all celebrate, and I will have a Patron Exclusive Edition ready for you (with all the images!). If you are a Patron in good standing at the start of October (meaning your dues are all paid up for September), you will receive a free copy when it releases.

For anyone who is new in October, I need to figure out a solution. I do have quite a few people who will jump in at the end of the month, pay a dollar (or nothing at all if I don't post), and then bail before the start of the month. I don't like the idea of dozens of new patrons signing up just to get the book for next to nothing, especially after so many of you have been around for so long. I may set a bottom line goal (New Patrons have to have contributed X dollars during October, something like that). Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

Next Chapter: almost done writing it.

Have a great week!

Patreon is a rough platform for providing your finished work on I know I have gotten a video game for singing up for one month then leaving granted if I liked the game I personally would have stayed longer but nothing was making me pay more that the 1 month registration

Not sure if it's too much admin overhead, but maybe just each quarter, go through and see who's contributed a given arbitrary value you decide on, and gift them what you can. That way even a one dollar contributor might get something nice after a year. And you don't have as many hit and run patrons. Just don't let it bog you down, it's supposed to be fun for everyone, including you. Being a patron of a cool creator like you is its own reward.
