Hey all!

Okay, so I am going to keep this one simple.

I haven't decided on an official title yet, but I do need some ideas for the cover art of HFHM! I have a couple of leads on cover designers, but I'm afraid HFHM isn't a "Stock Photography:" kind of erotic book. It will need to be a custom job.

So, that in mind, I need some ideas for what could be on the cover! The image on the front needs to convey the following:

1) This book is naughty (without violating Amazon TOS).

2) This book has sexy monsters in it!

3) Maybe a theme that could be used for future covers?

For example, my original idea was maybe a close up shot of Mike's chest and stomach. Hands would be lovingly wrapped around him from behind, but it would be several sets of hands from the different girls. However, I worry that this might be too "busy".

I would love to hear some of your collective ideas! Throw some of those wonderful thoughts out here for me to read through!

Also, this month has been relatively quiet, because I am working on some fun surprises for next month (as well as all the other background stuff I have been doing), so stay tuned for some awesome fun stuff in February!

I personally, at least for this first book, would have the house as the main thing on the cover. It's in the title, and it would be more mysterious than just showing mike and the girls. I'd do a shot of the front of the house with Mike walking up the steps and maybe give a hint of some of the girls if you want them feature. Have an almost invisible Cecilia on the bench, Annabelle covered in ivy, Tink hiding behind a window. Naia is a bit harder, but probably can come up with something.

I like the idea of what you have in mind as well as what Scipo0419 included.

I love Diogo's idea since the biggest part of the first book is in inheriting this old run down house and discovering the mysteries it contains.

Diogo has hit on exactly what I was thinking adding Naia in a fountain off to the side. Since I can't picture Tink I would go with the other 3.

Diogo has a great idea. Maybe the fountain should be shaped like Naia and her hair is the cascading water

Diogo has an idea that covers all bases. Lots of ways to work the house into future covers.

Annabelle Hawthorne

I’m hearing some great ideas in this thread! I really like the fountain idea with Naia. In my mind, I now wonder if each cover of the house should feature one of the girls and one of the rooms of the house. Naia dancing or posing in the fountain with the house in the background maybe? Deciding on covers is hard!

I agree with Diego... I was also thinking of a group shot kind of picture with Mike and the Girls in front of the house.. and now I think Diego has a better idea. The only question that remains is which one of the girls are you going to pose for?

I think Diego has it. For the first book the house should be the center of it. Perhaps just Mike standing outside with his bags at his feet. I do like the idea of a picture of Mike's chest and abs with two hands on them, neither of which are his. Think one of Naia and the other Annabelle's. But save that for the cover art of the second book.

I think Diego has a great idea show the house just slightly off-set and zoomed out slightly so it shows the driveway to the Garage/shed that Tink is in. it would be able to show the dried up fountain in the backyard and the green house in the distance. a Shimmer image where Cecil sits. the vines covering Annabelle by the shed. with Beth walking Mike up the cobblestone walkway towards the front door.

I'd keep the cover simple and not heavy on details. It's not a graphic novel and you're not releasing a monthly comic book; a lot of the ideas I see here are a bit too busy. Keep it thematic and recognizable. I'd suggest having a base background template for the house to use in repeated covers and have one monster character illustrated on the front, starting with Naia. Not cartoony and not one of those 3D modeling pieces. They're nice but they feel inert; like something's missing.

Alex already laid out my idea but I would urge caution in making it too detailed.
