To answer your question at the beginning, the arcs are all different lengths and some are EXTREMELY long (two in particular). This one is short, the next one is longer, then the two after that are like 30-50 episode arcs lol

Julius

This is a spoiler. If they know how long the arcs are then they can guess if the arc has reached its climax, if that makes sense.

Julius

The next episode is one of my absolute favs.

Daniel Lee

Some of y’all are wild with what you consider a spoiler lol. I’ve been watching them long enough to know the two of them would not consider that a spoiler. I also gave very vague general lengths of the arcs.

Jack SV

Bruh that’s not a spoiler lol that’s like saying a movie is an hour and 10 minutes and it’s divided in three arcs. Did that sound like a spoiler..? Nope.

Julius

Well yea that is kind of a spoiler. If you know a movie is 1:10 hrs long and the “main villain” is killed 20 mins in then you know that’s not the main villain. I don’t know if I’m explaining it well enough for you to understand, but knowing how long an arc is gives you hints about the arc as you watch it. It takes away some of the surprise.

Asking the question "are all arcs the same length?" of HxH is a bit like asking "are all seasons of GoT equally beloved?"

Antonio

It just depends on your spoiler toleration, some people (like me) dont watch trailers or even openings because that's too spoilery while others have no problem with stuff like that. But some comments on react channels will drop "clarifications" on characters that they would only know cuz they seen the whole series (and youtube essays) which is really cringe. Honestly half of the time react commenters try to clarify something it's just overly expositional info that takes away from the point of reactions. (dont think they read this deep in comment threads) I would say that I wouldnt even want to tell them what episode the hunterpedia starts cuz it essentially tells you when Zoldyck arc ends and they've been talking as if it's a usual 12+ episode arc. Allowing them to be surprised by a fast paced story improves the react imo. @Daniel Lee whats the second arc that you're talking about that's extremely long YKC and GI are same length at 20 something and CA is 60

David Salazar

Is it crazy that I just need the sound and I know exactly where they are in the episode lol I've rewatched this show more than I would ever admit 😅

Julius

@antonio I agree with your point about not telling them about hunterpedia because it can lead to them guesstimating how long an arc is. But you literally commenting how long arcs are is much worse.

Antonio

Fun Fact: In the manga Gon and Kurapika opened the first gate by themselves, Leorio opened the first and second gate by himself.

Antonio

they dont read deep into comment threads cuz its just people arguing a point, but i prefaced it anyway.

Kya Colosseum

Love the 2011 adaptation but do think they dropped the ball on Leorio a bit in regards to his capabilities, as anime onlys have every right in the world to think he's barely capable of anything at this point when it comes to physical feats

rubberkidney

killuas family is like the hunter x hunter version of the addams family. best not to apply traditional standards.

Nathan Elkin

Compared to all the other comments on this video, this is the only actual major spoiler and wasn’t worth saying.

BasedNate

You think so? Should I remove it?

Isaac

Probably. I would

Anonymous

Yeah, no need to literally comment the length of the arcs to answer their question. They did not ask how long the arcs were.

JT

I agree this is a spoiler but I doubt they would care since they watch the openings & try to get hints from them 🤷‍♂️

JT

Hopefully they have already watched it before reading your comment

Orr Malus

They're creepy and they're kooky Mysterious and spooky They're all together ooky The Zoldyck family…

EZ

That depends on what you consider a "climax" since many moments in the upcoming arcs can be considered their climax, The only thing that gives away them knowing how long the arcs are, are when they are ending, but not necessarily when crucial moments happen, because alot happen
