If you're looking for an Anime to react to next, I suggest you start Chainsaw Man as it airs. It's definitely likely to be the "next big thing" Anime like AoT or Demon Slayer.

For the girls and everyone here I recommend watching Deca-Dence. It's an anime not based on any manga but it definitely deserves more attention than it received. It's from a new studio and made as a portfolio piece. As such it has some of the best animation out there (better than AoT) and the story is very wholesome. Only has one season and they never planned on making a second one to begin with. The story is a mash-up between Attack on Titan, The Matrix, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. It's surprisingly coherent and easy to follow. The main characters are Levi and that girl he adopted which saved a little bird. Not joking, it's literally the same exact characters except in a different setting altogether. A very pleasant watch.

If recommendations are being taken for what to react to, then I would throw Ranking of Kings out there as a potential option. I'm basing this strictly off the love I've seen you both show for characters throughout my time rewatching Fullmetal Alchemist, Mob and The Expanse. I don't think you could do better in recent years with a strong cast of complex and intriguing characters. Another valid option that I've always loved would be Eureka Seven. When I think of anime with worlds and characters that are beautifully creative and engaging, Eureka Seven remains at the top of the list even after 17 years.

I was thinking the same!! Ranking of Kings would be perfect for them!

Steins;Gate next ...

I'd rather wait a little longer to see what the anime will be like. Chainsaw Man will be to 100% bombastic animation-wise, but story-wise I'm a little worried. Let's see.

Why do ppl start recommending shit all the time? btw vinland saga

sand_fl

right? it's always out of nowhere and then everyone starts recommending things. they still have mob for a while and they've already says they're doing vinland saga after fmab if i remember correctly. it's going to be a while till they have an opening for another anime.

Alex cleveland

lmao y r ppl recommending anime. once they finish Mob S2, they moving on to S3. FMAB still got like 16 eps left lol

Seth

Demon Slayer and Stein:Gate are perfect. But every time someone makes a suggestion other people get butthurt if it’s not their show

Is there the edited one ?

I can say the first few vols is kinda genetic wise in storytelling and plot direction for CSM, but the manga continuously gets more and more wild, crazy, and insane with storytelling. Making the plot wayyyy more intriguing and having one of the most unpredictable plots for any manga i've read in awhile! So its not just only gorey insane fights or sexual innuendos/dark humor, and vivid sex scenes with characters, it has everything to offer for an excellent story!

Lol, they haven't even watched demon slayer yet. I like when they are behind the times, especially so I don't have to rewatch a newly released episode twice within a week because their reactions come out right after the show is being aired.

half these recs are pretty cringe. Just because a show is good doesn't mean its worth reacting to.

Nathan Elkin

I wouldn't say it's animation is better than AoT, but it's still solid animation. That's probably going to be a subjective opinion though because of the difference in art styles. AoT has a more grounded art style, whereas Deca-Dence is more colorful and expressive.

Nathan Elkin

Vinland is probably my favorite setting of any anime, and also a strong contender for my favorite themes in anime.

Orr Malus

The animation is almost consistently at 12 fps which is unheard of in an anime. It's what got me interested in the show, I was trying to figure out why a studio would invest so much time and money in an original IP which seemed so derivative of AoT in particular. Then there's the little twist and I was like "Oh, so that's how they saved money, very clever".
