The funniest episode of the series, if not the entire DCAU. Gilbert Gottfried was the perfect fit for the little 5th dimensional imp (and on that note if you haven't seen Return of Jafar I'd love seeing a reaction to the Aladdin trilogy; despite RoJ being of lower quality, King of Thieves is one of my favorite animated films). Mxyzptlk (as he demonstrated just say 'mix-yes-pit-lick' and take out the vowels) is one of many bizarre things to come out of Superman's older continuities, a trickster deity akin to Q of Star Trek who cannot be defeated by force and must be vanquished by guile. What Supes was dealing with here wasn't necessarily hallucinations but rather reality going back to normal once Mxy was banished back to his home dimension.

It’s always fun seeing someone react to his name for the first time lol. Mxy has always been one of my favorite Superman villains. Just such a fun character! Before seeing this episode when it premiered, I always pronounced his name like Mixibilik whenever he popped up in the comics, so getting a proper pronunciation from this episode was nice lol
