Hisoka semi-joking about killing kil to get a reaction from Illumi is hilarious. They are allies that worked together multiple times throughout the story but you know hisoka will try to kill him someday and you know Illumi knows it lol makes an interesting dynamic

i actually decided to start hunter x hunter because you started it and now it's one of my favorite anime i've watched. same thing happened with naruto as well

Yeah the reason why it was building up was cause there was going to be a super epic arc that was going to happen. Unfortunately, Togashi's health started declining and he had to go on another unknown amount of time hiatus. So they ended up just ending the anime. Sucks. I don't think they will be continuing the anime either.
