The pervy gag content never goes away and I would even say it gets a little worse, but unlike in other anime that's kinda the point here. Rudy is not a perfect person by any stretch, the dudes a degen. thats what makes this story so great, it's a story of redemption where a character slowly but surely changes bit by bit and eventually becomes someone you just can't help but root for. truly a brilliant anime, based on stunning light novels.

The entire reason they still have the adult voice as the narration for his inner thoughts is because they don't want us to forget what he really is despite his exterior. He's in this new world in a new body now, but his past self is not gone. His actions and memories are still with him, and he has to deal with his trauma in a natural, realistic speed. That's what this show is about. It's basically a big redemption arc. It's not all rainbows and unicorns though. He still makes mistakes along the way, which is what makes it more interesting and realistic. It's honestly great that you see the importance of showing him do bad things on screen. It makes good deeds more meaningful.

The pervy stuff was hard to watch for me when I first started, but aside from that, this show have some heartwarming and wholesome moments with a great story and well-written characters. I agree with the other comments saying it's a redemption arc with him becoming a better person.

Rudeus pervy side can be disturbing at times, but hes been stuck in the house with no human interaction depressed since he was 14 for 20 years. so he's been at the lowest of low for years and has only experienced the lust side of being horny by watching porn and disgusting loli porn at that. porn is already bad for you itself, because it can leave you a false reality of how relationships between people really work.

also you should note that they live in a time with no electronics or anything so all there was to do back then was workout, cook, work have sex etc.. they have no idea how science works so thats why roxy was surprised when the lightning hit the horse attached to a tree when its lightning is attracted to trees lol.
