So did u like the challenge he's facing now 😂

smf_frieza

lol you know I wanted a threat but that was a bit too much... especially poor GOBZO LIKE NOOOO!!!

Romi Alfan

I hope magi out today

Justin Garcia

Finally we getting to the good stuff. From here on out it’s just action.

Elumesia Elure

When this episode first came out everyone else was fuming at those humans as well so I don't blame you for being super mad 😂

Chris Barnes

To put into prospective on how strong Hinata is. She didn't need to barrier to fight Rimuru. She only put it up so he would be unable to escape with spatial magic. Rimuru has seemed OP but there are still many people on his level in this show

Jacob Elliott

love this reaction! that episode was by far one of my top reasons for loving this show so much :D, it brought so much actual intensity to this anime :)

Morgan Hellström

You wanted things to change and get this. Hinata is stronger than rimuru at this point of the story. A lot of character is stronger than him. He isnt OP

Elumesia Elure

Yeah Rimuru only seemed op because he always went up against opponents who are weaker than him. But in reality he's just strong, not op.

SonicKing2004

We told you that things get serious in season 2 and this is the moment that things really hit the fan. While Rimuru is strong, far stronger than his appearance leads you to believe, he's definitely not OP. Don't forget that he struggled against Charybdis and that Milim, which these episodes reminded us that she's a demon lord, is even stronger. Even if she hadn't employed the barriers, even Hinata is stronger than Rimuru at this point of the story (she used the barriers to prevent Rimuru from fleeing to Tempest and to reduce his ability to resist her efforts to "avenge" Shizu's death.) I hope you have your tissues ready, because you'll likely use a number of them over the next few episodes. Until the next video. P.S. You seem to have gotten really good with the erratic start point of these episodes, but this is just a reminder that they will continue to be all over the place with some not even having opening or ending credit sequences, so please keep on your toes. Thanks, until then.

The only good goblin is a dead goblin..

7-12 is going to be a banger episode. 7-12 is the reason why I put slime in my top10 list anime of all time. It gets darker and darker from here. Slice of life to gruesome genocide dark.

wonder777warrior

this is only the first half of season 2:)

wonder777warrior

loving your reactions. have u decided what u will watch next? i nominate ranking of kings. its so damn good.

OnePieceMan

Worst part is that girl is complete trash despite being so damn cute.

Jagadeesh Reddy

please react to opening. It is really good

myst0dreamer

I'm so glad no one spoiled you for this reaction, reactions aren't as interesting when you know major spoilers for the story. But I am sorry for your distress.

Jason Holt

You've been begging for stakes for a long time.... now you're getting what you want :)

Rimuru isn't a Shounen protagonist, I mean to say he doesn't hold traditional values of "my friends are ny power" nor he is bound by a strict moral code. He also doesn't care for power for the sake of power. He is a nearly 40 year old man trying to make the best of his situation. I feel like what really makes gravitate towards Rimuru is how he tries normalize and humanize these fantastical elements around him. He isn't trying change the world because the world changed him, but change the world so it doesn't change him. If he played into the standards of the world then his dream of peace and unification would be further out of reach. Anyways this just the start of reprocussions and remember not every conflict is physical and not every character develops dynamically. You'll have a good time.

As for Hinata, obviously I could go on about how strong she is, but they do a decent job of illustrating that. I will say, while I love all three interpretations of this fight (anime, manga, and light novel albeit for different reasons). Nothing really tops the light novel for me. One main reason is the tension...this fight wasn't a in the middle of a volume of super built-up and climatic. THIS FIGHT HAPPENS IN VOLUME 4'S EPILOGUE. Literally the closes pages to volume. It was completely unexpected and has a worse cliffhanger than this episode. You don't see or hear from Rimuru until halfway through Volume 5 (CURRENT ARC). Again this fight kicks off the arc and happens before we even hear from Farmnus(Falmuth), by the time we see Rimuru again...the damage is done. It also illustrates so much better how bad of a situation Rimuru was in. FOR EXAMPLE: If Rimuru didn't maintain his mimicry into human he wouldn't be able to see or even move. Rimuru even restored to strength amplifying skills like *Strengthen Body* and *Steel Strength* but Hinata still casually matches him.

Since everyone else is saying it, yes Hinata big strong. She is by no means trying, she casually beating down Rimuru, whom is a Demon Lord level character at this point. And she several more trump cards too. I mean Hinata literally told him that she didn't even need to come. Her subordinates would've been enough.

OnePieceMan

I talked to a woman yesterday who said she works faster if she's angry. I hope SMF is so mad we get the next episode(s) extra quick.

myst0dreamer

No reactor I've seen seems to have noticed that with Charybdis, the battle began early in the day, and it was sunset when Rimuru estimated Charybdis was only 30 percent damaged. And everyone put everything they had into it.

The entire episode 6 I kept talking to the screen..."You wanted stakes!" Honestly I love this anime more for Rimuru's underlings than for Rimuru himself. Don't get me wrong, I love Rimuru but I feel more satisfied when I see his underlings shine! (Like in episodes like the Orc Lord battle)
