Just a sidenote about the "We (Eldians) experienced being hunted by titans, so should you (Marley), it's only fair." argument you brought up at the end. Technically, Marley was the first who got to fear the titans. For almost 2000 years they were enslaved under Eldia, in comperisson Paradis was only suffering from the titans for a couple hundred years. But as you said this reasoning is really bad.

I think the cycle that happens in AOT is really interesting. How both sides do heinous things to each other and justify it as "well the other side had it coming." It's like the saying "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."
