If they ended the season on episode 15 it would been such a shocking ending and cliffhanger. The soundtrack and everything was great at the end of episode 15. You should make Betelgeuse a husbando.

Ep 18 is gonna be a different experience I hate and love reactions to that episode because people lose sense but I love when people take a step back and think clearly about it before they start talking. Now I'm just waiting to see what kind of path this go

Yeah Episode 15 and 18 are legendary. When this show was first airing the whole anime world was in an uproar. LOL that was fun times

It's basically impossible to imagine his situation or empathize with Subaru. I don't anyone has every experienced the fucked up shit Subaru has irl. Hopefully not. FeelsBadMan

Episode 15: I love-hate Beteguese, he steals the show in a fucked up way. Really artistic ending and the end always reminds me of Dark Souls. Rem is a gem. And this is suffering, truly the Outside of Madness (still loving the title at the end). Love the call on Betelguese licking Subaru. Episode 16: I think its very easy to sympathize with Subaru and think ill of the other candidates, but try and look at it from the perspective. He made a fool of himself at the palace meeting and got beat up by a knight after accepting a duel that he had no right taking. Then he goes around asking desperately for help to fight against some shifty ass people. Subaru makes no effort to help them and basically demands (especially this loop) they fight and potentially die. He's also taking his frustration out on them and even Rem. Of course knowing the outcome we want them to help. And we first see [REDACTED], it was foreshadowed in the earlier loops remember. Can't wait for the next reaction. another 2 episodes is a great chuck to watch.

Also, when Subaru said "this isn't what I wanted" when he was at the village, he was thinking of how in episode 14 he was kinda hoping there would be trouble so he could save the day & make up with Emilia. This was a wakeup call for that. And each candidate in episode 16 teach him a lesson, about controlling his emotions (Crusch), his dependence on Emilia (Priscilla) and about negociation (Anastasia)

now that we already know the story of Emilia before, we all know the meanings behind Betelguese's words in episode 15 and how most of it is also something that he might've said to himself in that moment. All of those words now carries a lot of weight since most of us already know what they meant to him. just an edit since no one has said it before, Betelguese's voice actor is also Kirito from Sword Art Online.
