well kaido is an emperor and has all 3 types of Haki, including observation haki. So if he can pin point everyone's location then it's thanks to his haki and beside they standing on top of a cliff and kaido is in the sky where he can clearly see everything.

As to how they will beat Kaido, a popular theory suggest teaming up with Moria(who hates Kaido for killing his crew) to create Gear 4 Nightmare Luffy. In fact, a few months ago there was an upload of a good 2 part fan animation of Nightmare Luffy vs Kaido on Youtube by Audi Loki and Merimo for those interested.

An interesting thing to think about is that this rebellion has aged twenty years. Not that it actually means anything with the likes of Ray, Garp, and Whitebeard, but basically 99% of those who will rebel are over 40 years old. Vs. Kaido's troops who have the capacity to be younger, with having larger numbers, things are really stacked against them.

I think it's implied that she originally came from the Void Century, or maybe even further back than that; which is probably also why her eyes are silhouette'd. I mean, pretty much everything else in the series has always been connected to one another, one way or another, within the entire story of One Piece, so I assume this is what it's implying, like with how Imu had their entire body silhouette'd in the Reverie Arc, with the comment "which light will you extinguish this time" implying Imu was behind the Void Century as well.

A lot of people actually guessed what would be Kaido's fruit , even if you could sometimes read crazy theories like Kaido was a poneglyph which ate a oni oni fruit (because of how indestructible they are)

BTW, since Kaido is a Ryu (different from the term "Dragon", which it's usually translated as, since the Eastern version is different from the "traditional" Western version), a Mythical Zoan DF (obviously a Ryu would be classified under this); basically in traditional Asian lore, they have power over electricity (lightning) and weather, which is why Kaido can do shit like this.

The theorie about maybe him having a dragon fruit actually even exists since Punk Hazard. Around the time we first saw Momo having one or even when that Daragon first appeared. Maybe even before that but everything before that was even less than a theroie and more like wild guesses. But anyway, yeah a lot of people guessed it right far far back.

Congrats Jamie, loved rewatching this show and seeing you react, this genre of video gets a bad rap quite a bit but im glad i clicked when your first reaction to one piece showed up on my recommended summer of last year. In eastern culture, dragon is blue (or golden) most of the time. Also, dragon is the ruler of the weather and that's why kaido is capable of doing those scary things.

Now that you've caught up with One Piece I'll give you my suggestion on what to do next. I suggest you take it off your schedule and in place of it focus on another series. Once you're finished said series you then go back to One Piece doing it in batches of episodes. Once you're then caught up with One Piece again you start another series in its place. Rinse and repeat. Watching One Piece reactions 1 episode per week to be honest isn't that interesting. Especially for your $1 Patreons (like me) who'd rather just stop paying and wait till you've racked up enough episodes.

Congrats on catching up, on another note.. there may be quite a bit of cultural significance to Kaido being a blue dragon. The Azure (blue) dragon has quite a bit of folklore surrounding it in many Asian cultures.

in the manga Zoro didn't leave to fight some samurai tiger lol he literally just got lost riding in the back of the lion dog lol and then he says to himself "how do those guys get lost like that while riding a dog" I wish they would have just kept it like that in the anime would have put Zoro getting lost and bad direction gag to a whole other level haha

correction Momos IS NOT a smile devil fruit created by Cesar. If you notice all the Smile Devil Fruit users are Zoan type but more like an incomplete Zoan since they don't actually fully turn into animals more or an abomination incomplete version. Momos artificial devil fruit was create by Dr. Vegapunk which is why he's actually able to turn in and out of his dragon form and not just an in between version like we see with the other Smile Devil Fruit users. Plus Vegapunk was also the one who created the dragons on Punk Hazard they we're actual dragons. It's not confirmed but few theories have been going around that Vegapunk studied Kaidos devil fruit to create the dragons and the artificial devil fruit, remember Kaido has been captured by the marines many times but they have never been able to kill him, which could be because of his dragon devil fruit that basically makes his skin super tough

are you going to just wait weekly for new episodes now or will you be willing to start reading the manga now. If so you can start on chapter 922. The manga is a little over a year ahead of the anime. All I'm gonna say is that the anime is gonna be straight up fire in 2020, HOLY SHIT I can't wait until they adapt it in the anime. The manga this whole year has been amazing especially THAT chapter.

in the manga he fought the tiger. I also went back to the manga and you can see the tiger was defeated by zoro. Luffy just assumed he got lost since zoro disappeared. So clever idea from the anime.

Am I the only one who was disappointed with Kaido's OST? I was really looking for it but it's really not fitting, it feels like the background music of a final villain in a video game.

One of my favorite things is revisiting Punk Hazard onwards, and seeing that Oda was intentionally setting all of this up. Kin'emon hated Dragons, Momonosuke accidentally called him Kin'emon instead of father. And then in Zou, we learned that Kanjuro and Kin'emon were confused that people thought the Minks were violent, but mention it's been a while, and Momo mentions that he MET Roger. Which completely makes sense now. Oda set it all up so well.
