Lord Edge

Posting this to clear things up. No spoilers for future episodes, this is just something to help understand. Mother Talzin in the previous episode tells Dooku “You’ve heard of the Sith Lord Darth Maul? A few still remain in his bloodline”. The reveal at the end of this episode isn’t that Savage and Maul are brothers since that was already alluded to, the reveal is that Maul is still alive, which btw I remember being a massive deal in the Star Wars community back in the day. As of now Savage is searching for his brother Maul, someone he believes can give him purpose again.

The clone troopers with the heavy armor in the beginning are an elite squad from the republic commandos video game. You should try it out sometime 🙂

Great point @Lord Edge. Hope that clarifies things for Sarah. The key word there is BLOODLINE. They are all part of the same bloodline and that is why they think of each other as brothers. They are NOT brothers in the sense of having the same parents (I don't think?). Think of it as a clan thing (or a kin/extended family thing).

Sarah seriously worrying about King Katuunko possibly having a concussion when 10 seconds later he gets his neck snapped in half 😂 Moments like that are what makes re-watching this series with her so much fun. Priceless!!! 😁

SuddenImpulse

Controversial opinion maybe but I would MUCH rather have a show about the Republic Commandos than Bad Batch.

Lord Edge

Well the Bad Batch show happened because George Lucas created them and not Delta Squad

Lord Edge

Exactly! The scene was intentionally made to be a dark parallel to Yoda's training of Luke. Good catch

Tobywan720

Cool! Love those Sith/Jedi parallels

Wishing I remembered that scene with Yoda but you’re so right! And I always knew Yoda was badass but growing up I remember thinking “he’s being too hard on Luke” but now as I’m older, I get that he was just trying to teach him a lesson that he won’t forget because it’s instilled in him effectively. :)

Also that was like the most iconic moment for me not just SW but any movie
