Still charming and enjoyable despite it feeling dated in some parts.  I enjoyed Short Round and of course Indy.  LMAO at me thinking shorty could have been Jackie Chan as a kid for a moment.

I liked that a lot more than I did last time I saw it, probably like 10-15 years ago! This one is definitely the darkest of the Indiana Jones movies. Both Lucas and Spielberg were going through divorces at the time, and they wanted the film to mirror the dark time they were going through. They both regret it now though haha. Wow, are you serious? You recognized that kid from Everything Everywhere All at Once? That’s impressive since he’s like 40 years older in that one hahah. Have you seen the Goonies? He was also in that one. Hasn’t appeared in many movies. I honestly would like this movie more if it wasn’t for Willie haha. I’m not sure if this is where the “dumb blonde” trope started but it certainly didn’t help it 32:16: You sound like you know this from experience? 😂 45:52: Yes it is mostly a mockery, meant for comedic effect, but also to alert Indiana and the audience that these people were not like regular Hindus, whose diet was often more vegetarian. I remember hearing a while ago that there used to be a deleted scene in which Indiana starts to feel something is up and says to himself “Something is wrong, real Indians don’t eat like this” or something like that, starting Indy’s suspicions that they weren’t “normal.” but I haven’t been able to find confirmation on that since, so don’t quote me on that. I don't think the real Thuggees (they are the reason we have the word “thug” btw) had dishes that were that weird. Monkeys were also considered sacred by Hindus (I think they believed monkeys are manifestations or representatives of another god), and most of the Thuggees were Hindu. I doubt they would eat their brains. Although they were a vicious cult. I wouldn't put it past them to eat strange things, as they were known among many things for their strange diet too, but the movie was definitely an exaggeration. The movie did catch flack for that. They were responsible for strings of murders (responsible for the death of 30-50k), torture, plundering, human sacrifices to Kali in order to stop her from destroying the world, child slavery, you name it. They were “officially” brought to an end by the British in the late 1800s, although a few similar copycat groups were known to have appeared afterward. Just to let you know, there aren’t any weird, awkward flirting scenes (except maybe one shorter one) like the one in 49:00 in The Last Crusade, and it’s generally more toned down in terms of horrorish elements. The 3rd one just isn't as awkward in general. Like always, you have some great shirts! 1:56:42: I think Billie was a great TV dog! If nothing else, he was working hard begging for food😅. Good dog, Billie! I enjoyed the reaction!

I liked this much better this time around too! It was my least favorite of the first 3 Indy movies. But I can't tell if it's because it's watching with snax, she makes everything seem more fun and better lol.

It's interesting you noticed that about the food and what they really eat/or not eat, when this film first came out it was banned/boycotted in India because of how the people there felt it depicted Indians.

Snacks

I can see why they had to ban it. It was really weird to watch.

I will make sure that Billie gets the food that he deserves. And about speaking from experience, I would say.. yes??? I used human shampoo on Billie because I couldn't afford dog shampoo at a time and thought.. "Human shampoo is good enough. In fact, it's probably better because I use sensitive scalp shampoo." ......... Thank God he's still ok. Still had all of his hair. :)

Darn, I'm glad nothing happened! But hey, now you can look back and laugh at it!...maybe. I never knew why you weren't supposed to use human shampoo on dogs...so it's because of the perfume in it? That's good to know

Jackie Chan is almost Harrison Ford's age, maybe 10 or so years younger(?) so that made me laugh so hard. 😁 Kate Capshaw (Willie) was Steven Spielberg's girlfriend at the time - later she became his wife - so her casting in such a big movie was not very popular, and people didn't like her acting. In any case, even getting past the cultural insensitivity, I think this is the weakest of the Indiana Jones original movie trilogy. The Last Crusade is really good, I am sure you will love that one!

Snacks

Look at me learning something new everyday. I would have never thought that she was his gf. I just really thought her acting back then was considered.. well.. good. ^^,
