Here's the full length reaction to Austin Powers in Goldmember! I needed a comedy to recover from spooky season! Since the second Austin Powers movie won our last comedy poll, I figured it would probably be the same with this one. I had so much fun watching this, and the cameos were INSANE! Enjoy!

Happy Groovy November Friday, Addie. You've now completed your Austin Powers mission with Goldmember (2002) as your spooky season remedy. And now, I must fulfill my Austin Powers mission too, by watching ALL THREE MOVIES! YEAH, BABY! YEAH! BTW, the main gate of the fictional studio backlot for New Line Cinema, in the opening credits, is actually the Bronson Gate at the Paramount Pictures studio lot. That gate was also parodied as the main gate to Far Far Away in Shrek 2 (2004) & Shrek The Third (2007).

Another one where I can only laugh when I see the title!

Groovy!

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 Congratulations on completing Austin Powers trilogy. Glad that you enjoyed this one. I'm definitely looking forward to watching this later this evening. I hope that you have a great day today & a great weekend! 😊

Oh, and Addie, I have two questions to ask you. When was the last time you watched an animated movie? And will you also fit in another war movie for Veterans Day?

Jasbro

Cant wait to watch this later, if you're interested in watching more parody type movies i highly recommend the Hot Shot movies, the first one parodies Top Gun and the 2nd Rambo and they are hilarious, Mars Attacks is also a fantastic parody movie.

The cameos in this one were genius. I truly did not expect Addie to want Austin to have his threesome with the Japanese twins, so much so she wanted him to do that first then help his father. :D

The prison guard who tells them enough. is Katie Kouric

Andrew Roach

My personal favorite of the three. The Cruise and DeVito cameo moments are among the funniest comedic shock moments ever. Also this movie features two of the greatest visual effects shots I have ever seen: the two times a dummy or perhaps a cgi Mini Me smashed into a wall and falls to the floor and then the real actor perfectly and seamlessly merges and get up. If you didn't appreciate it on the first view check it out.

I still wish you'd watched (at least) the first 7 James Bond movies before delving into this trilogy, but c'est la vie. 🤷‍♂️

Thats MR. Baldamort

She still loved the movies dude, she isnt going to watch 7 james bond movies just to watch a couple austin powers films. Literally asking for way to much. This film series was written to be enjoyed by everybody even if you havnt seen james bond. I feel like all I see is you being constantly disappointed and judgemental with addie these days. Acting like she shouldnt have enjoyed Austin Powers for not watching James bond first. You and couple others around here always try to gatekeep what she should and shouldnt watch or enjoy. Its frustrating.

She watched a bunch of extra shit for the MCU. Just sayin.' No, you don't absolutely have to watch those Bond movies to enjoy the Austin Powers movies, but being more 'in the know' tends to elevate one's reaction to them even more (see Jen Murray and Ashleigh Burton). Look, it's frustrating when a reactor for whom you've been a longtime patron goes on a streak where at least 90% of what they're watching are things that don't interest you. I know it'll pass (as it's happened before), but in the moment you feel helpless. Frankly, Addie watching those first 20 Bond movies would make up for people like me having to patiently (sometimes impatiently) wait for her to get through the utter slogs that were the MCU and X-Men series. 😛
