Here's the full length reaction to Constantine! Had to get my Keanu Reeves shirt out for this :) Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz were so great together! There were a few good jump scares in this, but overall it wasn't too scary. Just DARK for sure. Enjoy!

I really need to watch this one for sure. BTW, it's good to see the return of your Keanu Reeves t-shirt, after having worn it during Point Break (1991).

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 I've been looking forward to this one since I saw it was ahead in the poll. One of my favorite Keanu Reeves films. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. For more Keanu Reeves, I highly recommend the 1989 "Parenthood". For Rachel Weisz, I highly recommend the 2013 "Oz, the Great and Powerful". And for more Tilda Swinton, I recommend the 2000 "The Beach". Have a great day today! 😊

I am happy that you've finally gave this a watch Addie! I'm a huge fan of the Hellblazer comics and this is an underrated comic book film. This is a fan favorite in the comic circles but Keanu is what divides fans. He's either a good John Constantine or miscast in the role. Having seen the film many times over, I can see both sides, however this is Constantine is a great departure from the comics. Constantine is a occult detective, practitioner of the black arts, exorcist, and con man. Although I admire Keanu for his commitment and he does have his moments, Matt Ryan is the better Constantine. Oh, and yes, Constantine is an asshole in the comics and a chain-smoker.

I'll have to try that next time I visit Papa Midnight's bar 🍸 😅 Wow, Addie, for all the "no no no....I don't like this!", you sure did seem to like the movie! 😄 Personally, I never would've thought of the way Balthazar ended up was as a flaky croissant! 🤣 I'm glad no bugs were bugging you in your office this time, that might've freaked you out even more.🪰 No cats were harmed in the making OR the script of this movie. 🐈 One thing that bugs me about the story is that Gabriel is one of God's main angels, why would the writers turn him into a mischievous "half-breed"? I like this movie a lot & I really enjoyed your reaction! I hope a sequel is made! Have a great rest of the week! 💖

I almost forget to mention, in the end, Lucifer takes out Constantine's cancerous tumors in his lungs, curing him, so that he can live long enough to make another fatal mistake so that Lucifer knows that Constantine's soul is indeed in hell. Watches and films have a long history together and I'm a big watch guy, I have been always been intrigued by Constantine's watch of choice being an Oris, 2004 (at the time of filming) it must have been expensive. Also, I always thought Constantine's custom zipper lighter was cool.

If you're interested in seeing more of the character John Constantine, Matt Ryan has been playing him on television since 2014, first in the NBC single season show Constantine and then in the CW Arrowverse TV shows, particularly in Legends of Tomorrow where he started out as a recurring guest in the third season and then became a main character starting in the fourth season. Ryan has also voiced Constantine in many animated DC projects and video games. Honestly if you want to see a much closer sense of what Constantine is like from the comics, watch Ryan, he does a fantastic job capturing his snarky, roguish, anti-hero, almost film noir detective like charm.

Other than not being set in Thatcher's England, and John not being a chain-smoking Sting lookalike, this is a solid interpretation of the character.

Pretty wild that Satan saves the day! Despite limited screen time Peter Stormare was fantastic as Satan, you may remember him as the psycho in Fargo. I also love how Hell and Heaven coexist directly over our reality, a cool concept before the multiverse.
