I think it was a great start to a new trilogy! Not as good as the previous ones but the potential is there!

Why is this a Patreon exclusive? They're beginning to pile up and it's troubling me. 😬

Thats MR. Baldamort

Why is this exclusive? Is it because of having copyright issues?

Thats MR. Baldamort

YouTube getting more aggressive to react creators. Also this movie is brand new so, my guess is, it's only exclusive for now to let the movie age a bit? Hopefully addie can shed some light on it.

Mr. Writhms

Is it just me or was the CGI not as realistic as it was in "Dawn" and "War"?

Randee Carreno

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 I have yet to see this one, so it'll be a first time watch for me as well. Can't wait to see if it's just as good as the three previous 'Apes' films. I've heard lots of excellent reviews for this one. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day today & a great weekend! 😊

She released her "Oppenheimer" reaction after about the same span of time of its initial theatrical release, but she still released that one to YouTube with no troubles. Her "Dune 2" reaction was released in even less than that. 🤷‍♂️

Happy Friday, Addie. I'm so glad that you still enjoyed Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024) because my girlfriend & I did when we both saw it in IMAX. This film was directed by Wes Ball and another film series that he did that I'm suggesting to you is the Maze Runner trilogy. #MazeRunnerTrilogyForAddieCounts

Randee Carreno

I 100% second the recommendation for "The Maze Runner" trilogy for Addie!! Both the books and the movies are fantastic.

There hasn't been enough interest for the Planet of the Apes movies on YT. Since War for the Planet of the Apes was the end of Caesar's journey, I felt like that was a good place to stop for YT.

Mr. Writhms

I didnt mean it was bad; just not as good as the last one. I dunno. Maybe I'm all aped out. 🐒

These ape movies are so cringe

Doug

Fun movie. I haven’t rooted for an eagle this much since Eagley in Peacemaker. 😄

Byrd N. Hand

OK, Addie, I accept your justification, even though a) I feel you've previously uploaded less acclaimed movies/TV shows to YT (namely from the MCU, X-Men, and Di$ney Star Wars series), and b) I still strongly feel that some of your previous Patreon exclusives *would* have a genuine audience on YT (namely "Schindler's List," "Love Actually," and "Gremlins 2"). At any rate, I hope this is your last Patreon exclusive for some time. I feel reactors should keep them to a bare minimum; access to the full reactions to everything a reactor reacts to should be incentive enough for patrons to join reactors' higher tiers, IMO (and your monthly Q&A's). 🤔

I grew up in the 70s & 80s watching all the original Planet of the Apes movies and the t.v. series. So don't feel bad that you did not catch the no speaking thing from the original. It really is not mentioned for 3/4 of the movie after he speaks.

This was my first time watching as well. I really love that they put so much heart into these stories, and give nods to the originals. I hope they do at least one more, because I think there needs to be at least a full holes to fill in before where the original movie steps in.

Luis Fernandez

I love the 1968 movie and think 2011's reboot (Rise) is very good. The rest I can take or leave. One thing I don't like about the reboots is that there are so many references to the original that it kind of leaves me with the impression that they are meant to pass as a prequel series, when really they should just lean into the fact that these are two distinct stories.

Joe Mallard

It's really hard to compete with the perfection that was the Caesar trilogy, I gotta see where they take this story.
