Here's the full length reaction to Kill Bill Volume 1! Okay this has been my favorite Tarantino film by FAR! I can't wait to see what happens in Volume 2. Quick question: is this his bloodiest film?? Maybe I'm just not remembering as much blood in the others I've seen, but it was INTENSE in this movie! Enjoy!

Happy Monday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003). I plan on watching both Kill Bill movies as a double feature when you upload Vol. 2. See you soon for that movie.

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 Glad that you enjoyed this one. It's been a good while since I've seen both of the "Kill Bill" movies. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. For mo Uma Thurman I highly recommend the 1996 "The Truth About Cats & Dogs". Have a great day today! 😊

Here's a video of Quentin Tarantino being interviewed on San Francisco KRON4. Watch till the very end.: https://youtu.be/n7k4GQSGvx8?feature=shared The Making of Kill Bill Vol 1.: https://youtu.be/Wpgqiwy1ndQ?feature=shared

I do believe these (KB1+2) are his bloodiest movie yea, although From Dusk Till Dawn (another fantastic movie) might be close but i think these movies still top it.

LaserLamb

KBVol2 is less bloodier than the first, but then almost anything is less bloodier than that! 😝

Speaking of Uma Thurman, I also suggest Gattaca (1997), also with Ethan Hawke. #GattacaForAddieCounts

This might be his bloodiest, but I'd argue both "Django Unchained" and "The Hateful Eight" have some killings that are more brutal.

Yes, but the blood in this was exaggerated and stylized, not to be taken seriously. It was like those old Japanese Samurai movies that Tarantino is a fan of, with all the blood cartoonishly shooting in the air. Check out the movie “Shogun Assassin” (1980). It’s very much what Tarantino was paying homage to (and it’s freakin' awesome). In fact, in Volume 2, that movie is referenced.

This movie and Django have its very bloody moments. The 2nd Kill bill movie I think has a little more blood. I think you would really love Django too just saying. Its SO good. Since it got second on the poll you should watch it. Has one of the best Leonardo Dicaprio moments in history.

Addie, what a fun time to watch this with you! "Soo much blood!" "Whatt!?!?!" "Did that really just happen?!?" And if you had an 'Oh' counter, I estimate over 50!😂 It was originally supposed to be 1 movie, but it was too long, so QT framed it as a diptych, giving us one helluva cliffhanger at the end of this one! Can't wait to watch the 2nd part with you! 💖

It's never not the right time to watch Kill Bill! Well...maybe after a wedding massacre. But, other than that...!

Hello addie! Loved the reaction. I hope you do I'm fact watch Django. Its one hell of a bad ass movie. It's my personal fav Tarentino film. Fild with amazing one liners, bad ass moments and Leonardo Dicaprio.

Kill Bill 1 and 2 are my favorite Tarantino movies (with Pulp Fiction a close second) and easily in my top movies of all time. The storytelling in it is entertaining, the soundtrack is terrific, and it feels like the cinematography in every scene explores some new stunning visual look and feel. You can tell this is Tarantino's beautiful and often bloody homage to classic Grindhouse cinema he loved as a kid. Funnily enough the movie seems to be a love it or hate it film. The people who hate it think it's overly bloody, pretentious, and chaotic mess with a plot that's little more than a classic revenge story. One critic who dislikes Tarantino's films in general put it succinctly in his Kill Bill Volume 1 review: "Quentin Tarantino makes terrible movies really, really well." And love him or hate him, I think that's a really fair assessment, he loves "bad" cinema and really puts in the effort to try and highlight what it is about those films that he thinks can make them breathtakingly fascinating to watch. He's the master chef inspired by McDonald's drive thru. Yeah he's serving up greasy chicken nuggets on the menu, but damn if sometimes they're not the best chicken nuggets you've ever had!

Given that Tarantino himself views both volumes of "Kill Bill" as one film, yes, I'm hoping Addie also watches "Django Unchained" some time over the next month as well; if she does at least 2 Tarantino films a year, I'll be fine with that -- especially if his tenth and final film is out by the time she finishes his filmography.

I have to disagree with you my friend. You basically called Tarantino films shallow which they arent in my opinion. Inglorious Basterds, Django, Jackie Brown, The Hateful 8. So many well done movies that have both style and substance.

I finally had to subscribe just so I could see this full reaction (and vol. 2). Sorry it took me so long!! Definitely my favorite QT film.
