Screw the movie, thanks for the Lee clips.

This was the first film I found to bad to be funny. I almost felt like crying for Christopher Lee and I watched him in some really low flicks. He looks all miserable and tortured the whole film through, just like in the moment, when George Lucas surprised him on the set of STAR WARS Episode 2 with a vampire teethed Yoda puppet.

But Stefan IS miserable and tortured! Stirba is his sister (giving a double meaning to the title) with whom he has apparently been in a love-hate relationship for 10,000 years. He has to kill her, but that will end his own life as well. Either that or take up folk dancing.

I found 33 comedies, or comic roles, for Christopher Lee. I'll message the list to you. {update - looked more carefully, and am up to 40}

I have never felt envy this intense over a friendship before. At first you think Lee was being a gentleman and eulogizing his friend but he was so sincere and consistent with it that he just can’t be.

It is a direct sequel as, although a different actor, Karen White Turing and being shot is the climax of the original. https://youtu.be/3gnFCrsBZmc Lee does wear jeans in Tigon's Fish n' Chip Western 'Hannie Caulder' and it does look more natural, possibly because of the setting and he's playing a character who would wear denims. Mark Hamill has said that watching Cushing and Guinness deconstruct almost every line during the 'Star Wars' table read was an education in itself.

It is so wonderful to see two men who clearly love each other so deeply, and the amount of respect they had for one another.

I saw this in the theater when it first came out as I was a huge fan of THE HOWLING. Wow, was this thing dreadful. They then withdrew it and re-released it as a horror comedy. THE HOWLING franchise was on a downward spiral from there on. The only other sequel I can think of that was this dreadful was SPECIES 2.

Everything that I have read or seen points to a true and loving friendship between the two of them. I would dearly love to have been a fly on the wall the day they were asked to leave the cinema because they were laughing too loudly at the cartoons!

I think that Stefan was meant to look uncomfortable in the underground bar scene, and Lee did a fine job of that!

Someone missed a trick, not casting Christopher Lee as Sherlock Holmes, with Peter Cushing as Watson.

The voice of the Brain Gremlin is Tony Randall, of "The Odd Couple" and many movies. He does get some of the best lines in that nutty film, which is a favorite of mine as well.
