It's been a long time since we posted the last messages from us, and probably some have already decided that everything is dead here again, but there were reasons for this. We are completely focused on work and try not to be distracted once again. Although your every message has been read, and every question has been answered.
Now we are finishing preparing the old images for the new format and testing a new matryoshka system that will work with all this. On the one hand, this is a very painstaking process, when only the basic dialog image of Natasha contains more than 300 different layers and several hundred more for the front and back versions, and all of them must be correctly positioned and correctly named. On the other hand, it is a constant search for solutions and an attempt to take into account all the necessary functions when designing a program, which leads to the fact that a lot of time is spent on thinking, and sometimes on a complete reworking of a seemingly ready-made solution.
All this is very boring information for you, and the result of this work probably not everyone of you will be able to notice, but this is what we need to complete before proceeding with further development of the game.
Okay, we've sorted out the most boring part, it's time to move on to what you're interested in. Since the integration of all images will take place directly through Spine, all dialog images will have a simple idle animation and breathing, similar to what happens in combat.
Another fairly simple graphics improvement is the addition of shadows under the characters' images, which makes them more voluminous and highlights them against the background.
The language selection menu has been redesigned. Now all currently available translations are displayed there, as well as the appearance has been changed.

Various other minor edits and improvements, graphics changes and other improvements are also being made to the game.
Summing up, most likely, we will need another week to finally figure out the matryoshka system, after which we will transfer the old events code to a new standard and add new prepared content.
If there are no force majeure circumstances, we plan to release a new update before the end of this year, so next year we will be busy implementing previously announced mechanics and writing a continuation of the story.
I hope that our next post will be dedicated to the new release. (⌒‿⌒)
