Old woman Aya shall be joined by an aptly aged comrade! As you expect, I had to deal with muddled timelines when determining the original birth years of these girls, so I had to make a few choices regarding what info I was using  =O I generally considered the first game to feature the characters be the anchor point, because obviously it goes to shit consistency-wise after that!

-I’m pretty solid on Sakura who was 15 when Street fighter alpha 2 came out in 96. I consider IV and V to be fantasy as all notions of continuity were brushed aside to bring in a familiar cast.

-Tifa was 20 when the game came out in 97 (of course the calendar isn’t accurate, that’s the adjustment I warn about!)

-Samus was the worst, lots of fan theories dealing with the convoluted history of the series. It seems however that in 86’s Metroid she’s roughly around 26 according to the majority. Adjusted to our timeline (and not considering space travel induced time distortions) that gives us 1960!

-Leona started in Kof’96 and was apparently 18, but her date of birth is only provided in subsequent Metal Slug games, situating it in 2010. I promptly ignored the latter part, 1978 it is!

These ages might be striking, but remember, anime girls age gracefully.
