Hello !

Happy new year 2020 and thank you for your support !

I hope you enjoyed the festive season and my tribute to the power of the human female machine in the form of Danjou!

No groundbreaking new resolutions, just a bit of info as commissions (still not tied to patreon) should pick back up short term and function in a similar fashion to how they did in 2018, save for the scheduling as I will stagger slots over a three-month period rather than stack them. Details will be shared here of course ;)

Otherwise as you will see, I’m starting to “oddify” the classic poll, by this I mean trying to find original angles on the classic poll lineups, in the vein of the oddpoll, to refresh the platform. Indeed I’ve started to deplete my reserve of good girls to shove in there and I’m not consuming enough popular media to replenish the stocks! Since Canonical Aya Brea had some success, I’m bringing more of that.

  January Girls!

Boa (a thunderous ascension I must say) and Melie!

January P-Profiles!

Lucoa and Mai! Bits of tits will made to fit in the frame =D

Classic poll announcement!

Wrinkles!

Another Off muh shelf, not quite as obscure as the previous one (If I come back to this theme, obscurity might be expected!).

Similar to what I did last month, here is a little spiel about each of my choices and the source material!

Batman: White Knight by Sean Gordon Murphy is an interesting and greatly entertaining role reversal (to some extent) of the classic Batman Vs Joker model in an alternate Gotham were the Bat’s arch enemy is cured from his madness and takes on the role of a well-meaning idealistic politician. Batman himself cannot accept this change and carries on his vendetta thereby alienating his friends and allies. It’s very well rounded and the general atmosphere is fucking great thanks to the absolutely masterful and gritty inking prowess of Murphy (after WK I got all his stuff, limited B&W editions all, shelling out much dough in the process =v). Of course Harley is involved, not following DC I don’t know if it has been established elsewhere but there are in fact two Harleys, one that supports the new Joker and one that wants to pull him back towards insanity (the “Cheerleading” Harley =) I liked her new sleek look, she is thus featured!

A Bride’s Story (乙嫁語り) by Kaoru Mori is a Slice-of-life-ish series set in XIXth century Central Asia following the story of a young woman coming down from the mountains to marry into a sedentary family, specifically to marry an 8 year old. Amir is a bit of a perfect Amazon-housewife mix, skilled in riding and hunting as well as weaving, embroidery and other homemaking trades. The artist is obviously passionate about the culture and crafts of the land, showcasing a sophistication and attention to detail that I’ve legitimately not seen anywhere else in manga, filling each page with layers and layers of intricacy. It’s also a weird combo of wholesome and tragic, as of course these communities are very traditional and beyond the temptation to project, Amir still literally marrying a child. Regardless, she’s a dream waifu and you should give it a go!

Stone Ocean (ストーンオーシャン) by Hirohiko Araki - The 6th part of the Jojo’s Bizarre adventure multi-generational saga, is a batshit crazy shonen extravaganza. It’s the first I’ve read of any Jojo series and tbh, while I knew about the unique designs that was pretty much it. I wasn’t disappointed, it’s a ludicrous almost uninterrupted sequence of wild, gnarly, goofy action and tropes shot out at such a crazy pace that there is not time for the quirks to overstay their welcome. I would never have believed I could stick to something like this as I’m not a fan of shonen, but Jojo is it’s own colorful thing, and Jolyne is a great protagonist. She’s just enough of a straight girl to anchor the reader into the narrative threads, but nevertheless appropriately unhinged when needed, like the rest of the cast.

Both 3 books/series are worth a read, Both 3 girls are worth a backdoor poke!
