I am back! (Patreon)

Hello,

Hope these first days of 2019 have been kind to you, I came back yesterday but got struck by a spike of travel fatigue that got me sleeping before I even hit the couch. Not exactly wide awake now as I went back to work this morning, but the weekend is near and I'll do my best to pick a decent cycle back up =)

I had a pretty great time in Japan, it was the first time my artistic activity resonated in the environment I was in, seeing my pigeon and doggo buddies in the flesh, pushing my way around in the crowd at comiket between table upon table covered in lewd material, I found a bit of a grounding that I probably would have struggled to find anywhere else.

Drawing porn online is a bit of a solitary affair, it's convenient business wise and I never envisaged to have it any other way, I even relished the fact that I wouldn't need to go through the pains of getting shit published and distributed down the line. Still don't think I will mind you, but I discovered that there is true added value to stepping into the physical dimension, handling printed works and talking to peers in person (totally revolutionary I know =)

My appeal for hentai expanded a great deal ten years ago when I stumbled upon artists whose take on pornography revealed an artistic potential that is pretty unique to the genre, some of these people I was fortunate to meet and even share a publication with, and despite the stark language barrier there was a bit of kinship there that made it all a bit more tangible. I'm over thirty and I didn't grow up with full mobile connectivity, perhaps I never really became comfortable with it  and my mental struggles these past few months have in part stemmed from my inability to strike a good balance.

It's going to be an ongoing endeavor, I'm not out of the woods yet, but while committing is out of the question (I've been way too inconsistent this past year to venture that far!) I gotta say wild fantasies about going back there and sitting behind a table with some piles of smut in front of me are popping up.

It's not a thing though, barely daydreaming! My mid-term priority will be to get back on track with a healthier approach and my center of gravity will still be firmly anchored on my online platforms.

I have projects derived from my escapade but again, caution prevails, I'll have to get settled.

This month I'll be picking up where I left off, if for one reason or another I think my output is too light I'll freeze again until February, I'll be announcing it before January is through. December Poll recap and February polls coming up!
