I'd give Alexis some of it, but not more than a few thousand. Maybe that's ungenerous, but give credit where credit is due: David is the reason they were even at that meeting with the lawyer, the reason Wendy got as much as she did (which had to have been in the hundreds of thousands, if she gave David $40k), and the reason they didn't blow it all right away. I say: reward his growth and newfound discernment! So shall it be :)
