love love love this episode so much! (Hannah is a professional singer. She's been a West End musical theatre performer for years. And I believe she's actually said she tones down her voice for the show because Rebecca wouldn't be professionally trained, and she's still mind-blowing)

This is one of two 'bonus' stand-alone episodes that were commissioned by Apple following the success of S1, but after all the season episodes had been written, hence they don't advance the overall story arcs much. The other one is S2E9 "Beard After Dark". The EPL season runs from the end of August through the end of May. The day after Christmas is called Boxing Day (the history of that is a whole thing). It is a national holiday, and is one of the biggest dates in the EPL calendar. Players generally wouldn't have the big traditional Christmas meal precisely because they have a big match the following day. I'm glad you enjoyed the claymation, it's related to a nice surprise once you finish the whole season.

In terms of comedy, my absolute favorite holiday TV episode remains "Merry Christmas, Mrs. Moscowitz" from Frasier season 6. It is the perfect blend of slapstick and wit *chef's kiss*

I was Roy with my nephew when he was 6 and being bullied by a 10 year old on his bus. I always picked him up at the bus stop and I've been told I have "serial killer eyes." The bullying stopped lol.

"The French believe it's always good to have a beautiful woman around." "That was not true for the Helter Skelter murders." Just being Dutch!!! LOL

I was so worried when first watching this episode that they were going to have Ted do a BS version of It's a Wonderful Life....which I felt ashamed about after because I forgot how great this show is.

Also check out Derek (another great show that will make you cry), where I first saw Brett Goldstein

There is a video Hannah shared of her rehearsing Baby Please Come Home with the band (and Jeremy Swift aka Higgins on bass) on set. She really let's go there. Check it out on YouTube!

This episode made me realize Higgins is my favorite character on the show. He's just a good man, a family man that loves people ad does his best Jeremy Swift is an amazing actor that portrays him with so many hidden details and he really warms my heart

I love this episode- though I do find it strange that all of those families in Roy’s “posh neighborhood” have their little kids answering the door. :)
