The punditry storyline is one of my favourite. That SOCCER SATURDAY is a real show (iconic in similar ways to Monday Night football?) the host is playing himself and the other guy is a legend former player and now commentator Chris Kamara. Chris has recently been diagnosed with a terrible speech disorder and has had to retire unfortunately. You should definitely look up some of his funniest moments. There is nobody like him!! oh.. also Tear it Up by Queen such a good song choice for that moment

Thanks for breaking that down, and for letting me know about what Chris Kamara’s dealing with — I’m not much into football, but I’ve liked him on panel shows and he seems lovely!

I didn’t notice on my first watch, but in the beginning when Roy is dropping Keeley off at work he says, “I appreciate you”. That’s Ted’s phrase! He picked it up from Ted. 💜

Maybe people were using it before Ted Lasso, and I simply hadn't noticed, but I've been hearing it all o ver nowadays, and using it myself on occasion. 🙂
