I love how great James looked as Posh Spice! (As a late 80s/90s girl myself, I realized they were doing The Spice Girls when I saw Erin had red hair.) I, too, thought this was a fantastic episode for Gerry! That man’s dialogue is so reserved, it’s a huge testament to the actor that we appreciate the whole range of Gerry’s thoughts and feelings. If a look is worth a thousand words . . . well, actually the entire cast is doing this constantly, but Gerry still deserves a special shoutout.

I get it. A lot of American television shows will have celebrity cameos, and the celebrities (playing regular people) will be fawned all over by characters on the show, whether they look great or not (many are past their prime when they do these cameos, so they do not look great).

Yeah, Jerry is asked to be the incredulous straight guy while also being hilarious throughout the show. It's a tough needle to thread, and he does it so well.
