Finally the Abe monologue!! It’s such a beautiful scene I still cry the way he says “my daughter is a remarkable person and I don’t think I’ve ever said that to her” it’s an axis shift for him but the fact he’s actually reflecting on what could have been really sells it for me. It’s one thing to feel it it’s a whole other thing to indulge the feeling enough to imagine a different reality.
