"Do Mail Robots Dream of Electric Sheep?" - Yes, we caught the Philip K. Dick reference in the title, but somehow managed to miss the "mail" slip-in.

So Martha staying on board came as quite a shock, eh? :) Without giving anything away that could influence your thinking about the show, here's a little bit from the real history. The Martha storyline is inspired by a massively successful program orchestrated by the legendary Markus Wolf of the East German Stasi, mostly against West German targets. _Dozens_ of secretaries were victims of the so-called Romeo agents. As you surmised, it all ended badly for many of the women. A few even refused to accept that they had been duped even after they were shown evidence. So as wild as the Martha storyline is....it can still go in any direction from here....and still likely be less crazy than the reality.

"She's a nice lady, I hope nothing bad happens to her." Yeah, this hasn't ever been that show, and yet they still are able to keep surprising their audience. Lois Smith puts in a masterclass in this episode, in what is my favourite scene across all six seasons. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lois_Smith "It'll make the world a better place" "That's what evil people tell themselves when they do evil things." Haunting.

Completely agree on Lois Smith - it's my second favorite scene - my first thought when thinking about the series as a whole is a scene in the series finale.
