Lela

5:14 a comedy about the worst people being friends with each other? That sounds like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia hahaha

Lela

I'm with you Steph! I really like Do-Yeong as well :)

Glory day!!!!

Daniela Miño

omg yes! part 2 of the glory is even better, all parts start to fit in and many things start making sense. I hate the audacity yeonjin has to say that she didn't do anything wrong it is so shameless. Thank you for the reaction and I know you wanna watch the rest of the episodes because the intrigue is so intense. Can't wait for next episode, have a great weekend <3

kdramas are soo good

yeonjin keeps her jobs because its very prestigious, its a status symbol, a representation of her power and influence. she literally tells people that they can leave the house cause its sunny or that they should rather stay inside because its raining etc. also positions of news anchors and weather forecaster are really highly regarded in korea

To clarify: the body is in the freezer, not the mortuary. That was revealed early in the episode. Also, you can actually see the assistant being the next victim after Dong-Eun in the first episode, when DE comes back to the gym for the last time. So the burns are from high school, not recent. Things are heating up and I’m here for it!

okay here's the real deal

This feels like an understatement but any involvement with drugs, let alone actual drug use, is SUCH a taboo in SK. Even drug-related rumours are often taken more seriously than sexual abuse or rape for example, and i think that also plays its part in why Sara is so freaked out. Not that it's the sole reason but she knows her life is over if she gets caught.

Sa-ra is portrayed as a daughter of the head pastor of a Superchurch. I know the separation of Church and State are US fundamentals, but in Korea, you still have political factions tied with religion sects. Not every one in each political party is in the same religion, but there are underline tones and a lot of "wink-winks". The way I took her panic was not from the fear of being caught because her art career. I believe her panic came from exposing her and her family's hypocritical lifestyle to the world. I think In ep 1 or 2, Sara's mom came by the drug den and cleaned her up for her art exhibition where she sold paintings. It also showed in this episode that Sara took money from the church safe that had US dollars; it's awefully suspicious that a Korean church has a safe of US bricks.

to give you some context, if a korean celebrity is associated with drugs in korea, their career is pretty much over. thats how serious drug offences are in korea and thats probably why the police officer is focusing on that in his investigation

i recently learned from one of stephanie soo's video that news anchors in korea were regarded to a high status because they only put the "best of the best" people to be an anchor. so yeonjin's job and family is her only glory.

I don’t think the late director moving So-hee’s body to the freezer is supposed to be a sign that he was involved (at least negatively). I mean her body being in the freezer is literally preserving evidence. So far we don’t know why he made the call to do it but it has to be a positive thing for our side that her body hasn’t been just decomposing in the morgue

I also don’t know if they remember but the assistant also works for Jae-joon in his store Siesta! We see her a lot there when the scenes aren’t set in the fitting room. And she had a similar reaction to seeing Dong-eun when DE runs into Myeong-oh at Siesta in episode two.

stephanie's vids are so good. id like them to react to some of them, but i know that thei upload schedule is so packed :<

Ohhhhhh. This is getting so good. Can’t wait for the next episodes. Great reaction guys.

Brooklyn

Yup yup the show writer sneakily showing her in earlier episodes. Love small details like that

I think dongeun gave yeonjin a second chance because her husband proved himself to be somewhat of a respectful person. Maybe respectful enough to raise yesol to be the opposite of yeonjin. He took his shoes off respectfully in the home of the woman who’s currently blackmailing and threatening his wife (and family life really) even though it’s totally deserved. I think she took it as he somewhat has respect for what she’s doing. Remember that dongeun’s revenge involves their daughter to the point she became a teacher just to get close to her. Maybe the guilt she felt was only abt hurting Doyeong and yesol in the crossfire of her actual revenge so she was giving yeonjin a chance to repent through police intervention? It’s all so interesting! I really don’t think Dongeun is under the impression that he cares for her romantically or otherwise. She maybe is just fascinating to him because his wife and her are very different people, she was smart enough to ensnare them all, and he seems to have a sense of justice. Another thing I find interesting: some construction companies in korea have a history of shady, sometimes criminal business dealings. But it seems like he doesn’t deal with anything like that and even was suspicious of yeonjin for having shady friends that she seemed to think was normal. I’m not able to make a determination if he’s Mr. Wonderful just yet because we’re only halfway through but the relationship dynamics in this drama are amazing!

Lela

mine too!! Please tell him he has amazing taste haha :D
