With the Tonya Harding case we’re not really sure how much she was involved in the assault as her actual ex husband carried out the crime and supposedly she had no idea of this plan. She did have to pay the consequences regardless but she did not directly hire anyone to act out the whole scheme. I could also be wrong so correct me if I’m in any way not correct please! Just some insight on the comparison 😊

Just a heads up! In kdramas, there are a lot of scenes where the characters do not look at the road while driving for a while🤣at this point I’ve just not considered it reality when they do this and attribute it to the drama aspect😭 sometimes it results in accidents and other times it’s just for the romantic effect🌚

Recent Korean work culture is interesting. Because unemployment is so high and the job search is so fierce, networking is even considered a big no-no in the eyes of the general public. Once any rumor or sense of nepotism is there, it's practically impossible to keep the job- either from the perspective of the company to show fair hiring practices or from the employee collective and morale. In some cases, the general public are accepting, but in SOME cases, there is a nation-wide witch hunt that involves media outlets and congressional petitions. Its a soap box that politicians like to pick and choose to stand on for the "good of the people."

Hi guys. I love your reactions, as always. After Attorney Woo, please watch Fight for My Way. I just know you will love it! It stars Park Seo Joon from Jinny's Kitchen, and Woo Shik is in it too. While it is a drama, it is lighter fare, with many comedic aspects to it. The lead female character has a lot spunk, and I think you'd really love that about her, Stephanie. Also, Seo-Joon's character is an MMA fighter, so I think you'd love that, Wesley. In fact, the song that plays when he enters the arena is Fire by the one and only BTS. It is a wholesome, funny, and entertaining K-drama. Definitely worth your time. Please and thank you!

1. With Kwon’s point, I think he’s barking up the wrong tree. Not gonna lie, even if the person was competent, I would be annoyed if they were HIRED through unfair means in such a competitive field and it probably would have some sort of legal pushback if anyone ‘exposed’ it. Especially with the fact that they’re all technically on a temporary contract and their jobs aren’t set in stone yet. BUT, the fact that he’s willing to ignore even if it’s obvious is that I feel like Youngwoo SHOULD have been hired from either of these top law companies for her academic achievement alone. The nickname being ‘first place is Woo Young Woo anyway’ between the students has everything to do with the fact she’s getting first place because she’s simply done the best at the examinations and not preferential treatment. Even so, she wasn’t hired and THAT is unfair in itself and also a crime I’m pretty sure 😂 Like Choi said, it seems more a personal grudge / inferiority complex than reasonable contempt for a corrupt system. He doesn’t exactly withhold details of cases from Choi even though she’s also got ‘connections’ or make it so she’s unprepared for meetings. This was even BEFORE he found out about her father. Simply put, he’s just a jerk 😂Also, ‘nobody is typically upset when somebody is hired through nepotism, only when they keep the job’ - I’d have to disagree. Nepotism as a structure only benefits those who usually don’t belong to marginalised groups. Then it just keeps the cycle going and breeds resentment in people like Kwon (even though his motivations are just all the way wrong lol). I don’t know if I make much sense but just wanted to add on to that conversation. 2. I agree with what you guys said about what the father chose to do. But yeah, if I were Youngwoo, I’d still be so upset especially if I wasn’t prepared for it like she was at the end of the episode. I’m interested to see what you guys think about this situation going forward. I have a LOT to say about it haha so you can expect me in the comments again.

Forgot to add that Seo-Joon's character and the female lead were childhood friends who fell in love as adults so I know you will relate to that part of the story as well. 😊

As a European I can confirm being able to walk everywhere is superior 😁😂

I just wish there was one judge in this show that would call out the ridiculous "bonding" and flattering attempts from the other side 😩 I get so mad everytime they actually fall for such obvious ass kissing

Lela

Omg I loved that show!! Especially part 1. I have to admit I couldn't get as into part 2 but still a really good show!

Muhammad FAYEZ

Yes a great show with something new and interesting in the story unlike all the other ones having almost same stories present in a different way

On the topic of nepotism, I once worked for a company who's ceo hired his brother in law to be like the position just below him (don't know the terms very well lol) and it was a flower related company and neither of them knew a single thing about the business, I'm truly shocked at how successful and big it is still, its truly all the lower down staff because they were awful 😭 the nepo hire BIL sent our location ALL his back stock of flowers at Xmas time because he wanted to clear a warehouse and insisted we sell everything....meanwhile we couldn't keep up with the volume of flowers and most of it was showing up half dead already, it was literally a nightmare😭 every day a new delivery of like 10 boxes showed up it was crazy and half of it just wouldn't sell because it was December so nobody wants to buy all these spring flowers,, god and then he had the audacity to show up on Christmas eve in his stupud suit and give us all a cake/ box of chocolates as a thank you...meanwhile it was rush hour and he got huffy because we weren't paying him our full attention 😐 it was so bad, non essential company and they somehow kept it open during covid too and absolutely plummeted their reputation lol, safe to say I didn't stick around long haha

The way that Steph got mad at the end was peak mom energy. It’s super endearing

Ugh, I got the ugly side of someone accused of nepotism. So I was working at BK for 3 years at this point for 7.25. My mom comes to work there again (she worked there before I did for a short time) as a manager and because of circumstances, she ends up as store manager. Well I didn't even want to be a manager but her and my father made me take the test and whatnot to be promoted and still as a manager, I was making 7.25. Things were difficult because between corporate and HB Boys and what was really realistic, there was a lot of pressure to have 1 minutes drive times, customer is always right but don't use too much product, blah blah blah, so since we didn't have an assistant manager and my mom trusted me, I ended up filling the role of assistant manager without ever getting promoted or a raise. So because of nepotism, I got the shit end of the stick and was taking all the responsibility without the pay or recognition, so I threw a fit about my pay to corporate. Well, they give me a raise to $10. (Mind you new hires were being hired at 9$ and the older managers were making $8-9) so I didn't even get an appropriate raise for the time I've been there, the work I was doing, and being a manager. Well, someone who was also a manager and doing tills alone in the office snooped through everyone's pay stubs and leaked I was the only manager making $10 (because I complained to corporate, not my mom) but it went around that there was nepotism, throwing such a huge fit about their pay (which got fixed) then it just got worse from there. Eventually it turned into such a problem that there was such "blatan nepotism~" I was being ousted and deliberately they were trying to drive me out while also retaliating against my mom. All sorts of rumors and issues spread so I was forced to leave my job in order to stop my mom being screwed over. 😩 It was such a stupid fiasco all because someone illegally went through the paystubs but were they punished? No. I was punished despite being the only manager that was competent there, that was underpaid for the amount of time I was there and never got a raise in the 6 years total (3 yrs as manager) apart from the time I complained in my 6th yr. Or the fact that I was covering 3 positions as cashier, manager, and assistant with my mom putting all the responsibilities on me and taking advantage of the fact I was her child, all because people found out I was her child and had a $10 paycheck. 😮‍💨

Chels

Right lol I was sooo mad about it for a long time, so I won't even step foot near our local BK anymore. Found out that one of the most incompetent managers became store manager and the whole place is malfunctioning as a result. Now everytime I go to my chiropractor, he's always telling me how bad the food became after me and my mom left and how BK used to be his favorite, so he begs me to go back. 😂
