As always, it was such a good reaction ! I can't wait for you guys to see more !

I never really got the impression that Dong Eun was intentionally manipulating Yeo Jeong into helping her, but I guess she wasn’t opposed to the idea 🤔 She said she needed a “headsman” after all. The other translation said “executioner” and I like that one better cus it sounds more intense lol. Once Yeo Jeong said that at the end my whole opinion of him changed from “oh he’s such a puppy boy” to “oh he’s a crazy puppy boy” 😅

The yeojeong thing would make sense soon 🌚

I initially thought the plot will shock you when you guys started reacting to this series but looks like certain characters are gonna take you by surprise..😅 Love your theories & can’t wait for the next episode!

Yeon-jin wasn’t talking about being afraid of Ye-sol finding out about her parentage. She’s afraid of her daughter finding out she’s a bully.

Guns are strictly prohibited and highly regulated in Korea. Almost impossible to get one, so you won’t ever see a gang member or goon have one either. Peeps from the states are just so used to seeing guns all the time, but it is the exact opposite in korea.

Yup heh 😅 I'm not from US so I get taken aback from how casual these gun-usage centric convos are xD (excuse my English

Regarding that weird-haired teacher and Dong-eun, he thinks she got her job by sleeping with the school director. That's why he asked her if she was two-timing and thought she was in to older men.

Honey

I think it wasn't that she was confident about seducing him. With how obsessed he is with Go, she was probably confident she would at least get his attention because of that

ParkMinJeon

The giant go board park they built for the show is actually still there for fans to go see it 😊

I feel she knew earlier that he could be useful but because she liked him, she didn't want to be involved with him at all, but it's gotten to a point to her that it's better to have his help than not, because remember the hospital so-hee's body is in? 👀 how else is she gonna get access to that? But I disagree with your reactions to that scene. I don't feel she was manipulating him then, but rather she allowed herself to be vulnerable and give him the option to decide if he still wanted to go with her "where she's going." I thunk the butterfly comment was her finally deciding to let him in to help if he chose, because she isn't manipulative of people. She's very blunt and direct with her intentions. She outright told everyone involved with her what her plan is, and with the husband, she is getting his attention, but she hadn't done anything to actually manipulate him. Even her school friend that was the son of her old teacher, sure, she hid the truth for a while and befriended him under false pretenses, but then she straight out told him what he did and let him resolve the situation how he wanted. I think her story is just so heinous, it makes people fascinated with her or want to help her, but she does care about their well-being, and at every turn reminds them about the risks.

I interpreted the last scene as dongeun letting herself be vulnerable to yeojeong because she was moved by his persistence and maybe had a little feelings for him. I dont think she was expecting him to offer his help at all

In Korea, Hospitals are generally corporations that receive 3rd party government funding for universal health care. Consider them like private universities. The family of “directors” are pretty much corporate execs. To put into context, 1,000 Won is about $1, but in the 80’s, you could buy gum for 5won or $0.005. Because of the ultra fast economic growth, you still see family names and titles passed down in corporations like Vanderbilt or Carnegie in the US

tokiddong

Not to say that directors are appointed without qualifications- this is where the societal and family pressure towards education and success comes to play

You should see her (Dong Eun) in Descendants of the Sun, its a different actress you’ll see. That’s how good she is :)
